Just want to throw the invite out there to any bands coming through, if you give me enough time, I can help ya get a gig out here. Cinci actually has a good scene and it's great seeing new bands come through.

If you ever end up in NJ, Princeton Records are pretty cool.
I saw Split Lip about 12-15 years ago. Fun show. Love the Shack Shakers too.
Looks to be a good show! I've only seen Split Lip Rayfield live, and technically it doesn't count, as this was on dvd. They put on one hell of a show! Legendary Shack Shakers are definately somebody I'm really wanting to see, and the last two times they were in the area, I wasn't able to go. I don't think I've ever heard of the Whistle Pigs, though...I'm assuming you're going?

Sorry for the delayed reply :) My band has all our tracks up at facebook.com/sxorocks. Good luck finding a bassist! We actually don't even have a bass player anymore. We're sampling the bass till we find a new one ...

Yeah I play in a little shoegazer band. We're on hiatus right now until we find a new bass player. I live near the moose lodge -- where can I hear your band?
Jamie said:You in a band? I'm setting up a show in Whittier on December 16th at the Moose Lodge with my band and another from Downey called MobHound.
I grew up near Whittier... if that counts.
Band Mix Is a great place for finding local folks.

Glad someone mentioned the Dogs! Great early 70's Detroit rock and they are still around! They appeared at SXSW a few years ago with Wayne Kramer. I carry their tribute album here:

The guy who released this is working on a new Dogs DVD, check Detroit Jack's blog. He might be a source of information:
