(LONG BEACH, ORANGE COUNTY) Biography REVEREND BEAT-MAN & THE BLUES TRASH TRIO BEAT-MAN is the Swiss head honcho of Voodoo Rhythm Records and has led the infamous garage band, The Monsters, for the past 22 years. He is also the 'one band band extraordinaire' currently crooning and living the life as a 'Primitive Gospel Blues Trash Evangelist' known as REVEREND BEAT-MAN. He'll be touring the United States with a band of Voodoo Rhythm All Stars called the Blues Trash Trio. The trio includes Robert ‘Pantichrist’ Butler (The Get Lost, The Come N' Go, The Miracle Workers, etc.), Delaney Davidson (the Dead Brothers) and the hard hitting Jeff Ross. His first L.P. entitled “Get On Your Knees” was recorded at UK’s legendary Toe Rag Studios. With hit songs like “Oh Lord”, "Back In Hell", “The Lord Is Coming Back”, and others fabulous titles that just can’t be named here. After the success of 'Get On Your Knees' three more provocative albums followed, and each one more surreal than the other one. But all of them have one thing in common: It’s 189% BLUES TRASH!! It's as primitive and 'stripped down' as it can be and it's all up in your face as much as possible. Seems BEAT-MAN’S musical antics go back to the '80s when he was a attraction on the Euro trash rock scene, both as a one-man band (he plays kick drum and guitar) and his famous nightclub wrestling shows. If his early influences came via Robert Johnson and Screaming Jay Hawkins, the latest stuff on BEAT MAN’S Voodoo Rhythm label occupies a musical niche almost entirely of its own making. Three parts trash, two parts garage, four parts voodoo-billy and then shake it, stir it, pour it and suck it down, baby! It’s as primal as fuck and not more than a little demented, it's über-demented. You’ve heard garage music but this is about as far removed from the cutesy garage-pop antics of the White Stripes or the energetic but comparatively polite Mooney Suzuki as you can get. This is fucking w-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-y out there. THE REV was a hit at on many stages and festivals around the globe from Japan to Russia to South America to Europe to the USA!! You name the country.. the Rev's prolly played there!
