Ironic in less than 24 hours after the Republicans toss out the gun control background check bill, two people with ties from a radical Islamic country shoots two cops, killing one with guns more than likely bought in the USA.

I also believe in the 2nd amendment but 200 years ago when it was written they were still packing the barrels with gun powder and iron balls in most cases, no AK47s. I don't see why it is so complicated having a background check on someone before they purchase a gun at a gun show. I didn't buy mine at a gun show, but I did have a background check run on me. It certainly wasn't any big inconvenience on my behalf.

And yes, I totally agree with the initial post, the country is going to shit.

If someone says it is not, they are in denial.

We're all slaves unless we are actually involved in the act of governing itself.  A government that can take absolutely everything from us, including and most of all, our privacy is not one we need anymore.  Most of our tax dollars are spent on the military.  I don't recall ever voting for this delegation of funds, or being given the option to vote on this?  Don't assume that it's all just Obama.  He's just the face we're given at the present.  I have seen the good and the bad that I can only assume he, personally, has done, but no one person is the end rule.

I KNOW , i REALIZED I SAID "SOUP STAINER" AFTER I SENT IT OUT . WELL , A STEAM PUNK GIRL MAGNET LIKE THAT CARPET he had on his lip WOULD GET STAINED BY SOUP , FOR CERTAIN. I was reading an interview with Lee , where he said all the swordfight scenes in the Three and Four Musketeers were done with real dueling swords , with fencing foil tips . But , they shot a scene where the blades were not covered , by accident , and he AND SEVERAL OTHERS GOT MESSED UP , BUT GOOD. I Did'nt know Renay and Franco were married , either. I found out about Christopher Lee doing a Heavy Metal album and a version of Rocky Horror (Yikes!) several years ago. I knew Lee was an accomplished singer , but , he seems to be treading the same waters as William Shatner or Pat Boone.

So regarding Herr Klaus, yeah Werner Herzog seemed to think he was completely nuts too with stories of their wacky fights while filming.  Guess that's what makes him such a wonderful actor (IMHO, if you want good artistry you will require a little madness)....

Back on subject, didn't realize that Lina Romay and Jess Franco where actually married right before she died. Well, I think this is a good time for a Jesus Franco home film festival.

His performance was outstanding , but , Franco's direction was indifferent. Lee had some say in how he ended up looking as The Count in this movie , noting he was supposed to be an older man , with a moustachue , according to Stoker. Prior to that , John Carradine was said to have looked closest to Dracula in the book.  And Lee , occasionally , grew his groovy soup strainer out in a similar fashion well into the 70's (Remember when he was on SNL?).

I AGREE. Sometimes , it's like jumping over a series of hurdles , just to get to that bag of gold coins. Some were enjoyable despite , or maybe because of , their inaccessibility. But others , just like Naschy , bring back the fun of the 30's - 40's US Horror heyday , with a smattering of Hammer and a whole lot of gratuitous sex and violence . YAY !!!!

Spicy Banana Curry I Swear! Sounds good!

Robert's Egg Dish (From Artist Bridget Riley)

Melt 1 Tbsp Butter with 1 Tbsp olive oil. Fry 4 slices diced bacon lightly on med. high. Crack an egg on top of each slice of bacon.

Place 6-8 slices of Camembert onto egg whites & a pinch of paprika onto every yolk.

On top of melting Camembert add Banana! Sprinkle curry powder over bananas. Sprinkle grated Emmentaler cheese over bananas.

Add tomato slices on top of each stack, and season with salt and pepper.

Add 1/2 a med. onion, sliced into rings on top.

Serve with white wine and bread.
