    • I'm storing my music on itunes, that way, I can rotate music to the ipod as the mood hits me. Do you really have to have that Sex Pistols record on you 24-7? Haha.

    • I feel you on the storage issue! The one I own is 8GB and I'm constantly having to switch out the music on it. I absolutely love my ipod though...so convenient! :D

Wow, I'd fill that up in no time! I have an older iPod... it's an 80 gig and it's about 60% full and I still have a lot of my music to rip yet.

I rarely ever listen to LPs anymore. Sad, but true. The only time I pull them out is when I need to rip a song for a podcast. At home, in the car, at work... if I want to listen to my music, I pull out my iPod. I don't know what I'd do without it!

8gb, they make a 16 though, 8 should be enough for me. You can't even feel it clipped to your clothes.

    • It was a gift from my boss, I never had one before, I see now why they are so popular. They won't replace LP's but it's great to have music anytime you want it. I can't get over how small it is. It's so small, that if you have some kind of wrist band, you can clip it onto the band and wear it as a watch. The screen gives you a choice between a black or white faced clock.

    • Wow, that's tiny. I'd be afraid I'd lose the damned thing. What's the storage capacity?

    • I just got a new 6th generation iPod Nano, it's a 1 1/2" by 1 1/2" square with a touch screen, no video or camera, just music. Very small and light with 24-hour battery life. I uploaded a few GP podcasts to check it out. Sounds great, I'm uploading more podcasts as I write this. If you looking for a small no-nonsense iPod, this is it. There are more reviews on YouTube if you're interested, but I like it. Just thought you might like to know.

    • The biggest detraction that I can see to e-books is the limitation on amateur publishing. Some of the best stuff I have ever read would never be picked up by anyone major and I prefer it that way. There are also some concerns about the distributors having access to individual's personal libraries. This is just one story, but I would not be surprised if more pop up in the future. http://www.physorg.com/news167112141.html

    • Yeah, I'm totally familiar with BORN LOSERS, I've seen quite a few times and I think it's pretty durned enjoyable! Ditto for the Billy Jack series, as corny and clichéd as they can be. There's something about the anti-hero kicking the rednecks ass plot device that's very appealing to me and the Billy Jack movies have that in spades. His hippie wife is pretty hard to take though. My favorite Tom Laughlin movie is Robert Altman's debut THE DELINQUENTS, which TCM shows more than you'd think they would. It has a sense of realism and naturalness to the acting that Altman became known for and Laughlin gets to do his method acting thing in his first starring role. Tonight TCM is showing the mind-blowing INCUBUS, the 2nd (!!!) film made using the failed international language of esperanto. It was directed by Leslie "OUTER LIMITS" Stevens and "stars" William Shatner. It's a real endurance test. One interesting thing about it is the impressive cinematography was done by Conrad Hall, who went on to an impressive career (cool stuff like COOL HAND LUKE, IN COLD BLOOD, HELL IN THE PACIFIC, CATCH MY SOUL, FAT CITY, ELECTRA GLIDE IN BLUE, DAY OF THE LOCUST, SMILE, MARATHON MAN, tons more) and even won 3 Academy Awards for his work on BUTCH CASSIDY & THE SUNDANCE KID, AMERICAN BEAUTY & ROAD TO PERDITION. Check out the full INCUBUS story here: http://www.tcm.com/underground/movies/?cid=258906 Adam Sheets said:

Did yo catch FIVE MINUTES TO LIVE (or DOOR TO DOOR MANIAC) with Johnny Cash a couple of weeks ago? That's a nutty movie!

I've seen it before and you're right. Cash was a surprisingly good actor, but the movie was pure exploitation (just the way I like).

Here's a recommendation for you. It's been on TCM a time or two, but I own the series on DVD. Check out a biker flick from 1967 called The Born Losers. Tom Laughlin as Billy Jack before the actual film Billy Jack catapulted him to stardom, Jane Russell as an aging prostitute and single mother, a hot chick in one of the lead roles, and a Satanic motorcycle gang. Who can ask for more?

    • This week on Turner Classic Movies during a 36 hour period they showed "WILD GUITAR" (albeit at 5:30AM!), "THIS IS SPINAL TAP" and "WHAT"S UP TIGER LILY". The last 2 were choices from guest programmer Bill Hader from SNL.

It cracked me up listening to the dialogue from SPINAL TAP (all the "fucks" and "fuckin"s) and thinking some insomniac "classic" movie watcher tuning in accidentally hoping to see a nice Andy Hardy movie or something!
