Bio Rock'n'Roll lifer, comics fan, genre movie, tv & book afficiando. I dig original garage as well as the bands of the 80's and beyond that were inspired by those original tunes, also love punk, glam, psychobilly, etc. Lived in LA during the great 80's retro rebirth w/ bands like The Unclaimed, Miracle Workers, Morlocks etc. These days I own a small business, do rescue work, and DJ at various local shindigs on a sporadic basic. I adore unearthing new bands and tunes and inflicting my musical tastes on others. It'd be fab to connect with other folks to talk music trash with.
Favorite Music The Chesterfield Kings, The Flamin' Groovies, The Fleshtones, The Incredible Staggers, The Horrors (first album & ep), The Morlocks, The Graveyard Farmers, The Chocolate Watchband, The Sonics, Johnny Thunders and The Heartbreakers, Paul Revere and The Raiders, The New York Dolls, lots of bands that just have a couple of songs out, or just one or two really mindblowing tunes, any songs where the guitar fuzz goes for the throat and the keyboard action makes the heart surge.
Favorite Movies Watchmen, Sin City, The Big Sleep (almost any Bogart, really), Velvet Goldmine, Prey for Rock'n'Roll, zombie movies, lots of noir, scary movies but NOT torture porn, trashy teen sex comedies if they have heart, but NOT serious and mature adult dramas, I also dig caper movies, action movies. I like movies A LOT.
Other Hobbies/Interests Collecting/reading comics, zombie stuff, cats and animal rescue, finding cheap, interesting, delicious healthy food from various nationalities (yes, such a thing is possible, ) style, dancing but only if the song moves me, movies, books, life.
