There are several great bands/performers locally known here... Unknown Hinson, Avett Brothers, Frankenstein Drag Queens, Belmont Playboys, Sugar Glider, Fat Camp, and more I can't think of at the moment.
Venues: The Milestone, Neighborhood Theater, Snug Harbor, Amos', Tremont, Visualite, and more.
As for Record Stores - I'd suggest Lunchbox Records and Manifest. For just vinyl: Wax Museum - specializes in mainly beach music, but you can find rare recordings as well. We're lacking in this category unfortunately.
Glad to add you as a mate! less

Bio
I'm an East coast Graphic Designer with a liberal bent, distinct lack of religious intent and more dogs than I can shake a stick at. I work crazy hours, love the nightlife and find inspiration in strange places. I read alot, drink often, smoke occasionally, and believe in the freedom of personal expression.
I'm a thoroughly modern gay, a raging, angry pacifist and love my bike more than I should. I believe the best holidays are Halloween and Fourth of July and I look forward to seeing the West coast someday. I've been to Canada, worked and lived in Florida and settled in beautiful North Carolina.
Favorite Music
My iPod currently plays: ELO, Scissor Sisters, Cure, Disco Divas, Basement Jaxx, Tool, Beach Boys, Dick Dale, Flaming Lips, RJD2, Lemon Jelly, Black Sabbath, T-Rex, and more!
Favorite Movies
Original King Kong, Evil Dead 1-3, Singing In The Rain, Lord of the Rings series, Polyester, Female Trouble, Rear Window, North by Northwest, Galaxy of Terror, Something Weird Videos, MST3K series, Drive-In Movies, Exploitation flicks, and so many more.
Other Hobbies/Interests
Graphic design, comic illustration, horror, old classic movies, Halloween costumes, art house movies, indie rock, live shows, online gaming, biking, swimming, and my dogs!

So the question that gets asked of me often, usually BY me.. "What Do YOU Want?"
I have to keep asking it - not because it changes. It doesn't. I ask often because I have to keep reminding myself what I'm doing th...

First - I'm an artist. Struggling. Really struggling. I'm freelance and this blog will be primari...
