Bio
Author of the book "Riot on Sunset Strip: Rock 'n' Roll's Last Stand in Hollywood" (foreword by Arthur Lee of Love, Jawbone Press, 2007) and others "Beatsville" and "Pop Surf Culture". Wrote documentaries "Hollywood Rocks the Movies" for AMC and hope to do more docu film. Fave rave "new" group The Nashville Ramblers. Also big on '40s/'50s R&B, Rockabilly, Exotica, Girl Groups, Soul, Ye Ye, Folk Rock and Sike. Favorite writers are Billy Miller and Miriam Linna of Norton Records, and Mike Stax of Ugly Things.

The Byrds, Love, Buffalo Springfield, The Mothers of Invention, The Doors, The Standells, The Chocolate Watchband, The Music Machine, The Seeds, Bobby Fuller Four, The Leaves, The Grass Roots, The Dovers, The Electric Prunes, West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band, Captain Beefheart & his Magic Band, The Turtles, The Mamas & The Papas, The Association/Curt Boetcher, The Monkees and Brian Wilson's released and unreleased music from 1966. Also the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Them, The Yardbirds and The Who but don't get me started on things from across the pond, or what was going on in New York during the '60s... otherwise its an hour talk about The Cheetah and it's accompanying boutique.

Favorite movie could be The Cool Ones, A Hard Day's Night, Riot on Sunset Strip, It's a Bikini World, The T.A.M.I. Show, The Big T.N.T. Show, Sex Kittens Go To College, The Girl Can't Help It, Rock Rock Rock, The Endless Summer or Village of the Giants, not sure.
Other Hobbies/Interests
Actually playing baseball, basketball and surfing, also yoga these days. "Girl stuff" (especially Mod, Psych and Young Vulgarian clothes, but Ava Gardner style as well). Dancing to good DJs and bands. Finding photos and items from old nightclubs and clips from old television shows and movies with bands in 'em. Figuring out where the unique and cool stuff is in cities these days. Good vistas and scenery, eating things off of trees, gardening.
