Bio
"Jersey City Mods" was originally a nickname for a group of friends sharing a crappy apartment in Jersey City labelled "The Mod Bunker". Now there are only 2 of us, we haven't lived in JC for at least 15 years and the mod clothes don't fit anymore. However, the nickname stuck and we use it to confound the Internet snoops who search for our real names. We have both worked in the music biz (Tower Records, Big Pop)but we are not musicians. We're simply fans of real rock-n-roll who collect records, go to shows and drink too much. We are now both librarians.
Favorite Music
50's rock, British invasion, 60's garage/punk/psych, 70's glam and punk, 80's indie, 90's grunge and BritPop, current Scandinavian pop/punk (Hives, Stupidity, etc). Also like cajun/zydeco, tropicalia, and kitschy easy listening. Old school soul and R&B, growly blues and novelty songs also fit right in with our collection.
