John Battles Hey , Sundance. 13 Frightened Girls released their own cassette - only "Album" in The 90's , which they sold at gigs. You might ask "Orange Rooftops", if they're still here , if there's anything else . Some of the same people from 13FG are now in that band.

John Battles THANKS FOR THE LINK. I could'nt access it , but , I can try again , later. 13 Frightened Girls were based in Peoria. I think they only played here 2 or 3 times. They got on some pretty good shows when Garage was still popular , briefly , in Chicago , in the 90's.

John Battles YEAH , I got the link, this time. I'll have to go to that record store, if I'm ever in Bloomington/Normal, again. My friends and I went there to see UIntamed Youth , about 20 years ago.

John Battles OH , If there was a band called "THE Battles ", I'm not familiar with them , but , if you meant that inexplicably popular hipster band , "Battles" , I just got a laugh out of that. After all , neither my Brother nor I are what you'd call well known.

Of course i was there exclusively fot THE SONICS so i didn't give much attention to others, you know, after The Sonics they could close and destroy the stage and nobody would have cared about that!

  • John Battles Dallas Punk gods , The Nervebreakers , have a new album out on Steady Freddie Records. The Nervebreakers ruled the roost in the Late 70's/Early 80s , and they opened for The Sex Pistols , The Ramones and The Clash. They also backed Roky Erickson. They reformed in 2008 and recorded this album which is just now seeing the light of day. Trust me , it sounds like '77-'78 all over again. All fans of ''Killed By Death" style Punk are advised to buy the album , which is called "Face Up To Reality".
