Bio
TV Tramps is a four piece band from NJ that plays original rock n roll influenced by 1977 punk rock and rockabilly. With song-writer Joy Vay on vox and rhythm guitar, Brian Sugent (of The Blisters) on lead, Matt Guzda on drums and Claude Coleman Jr. (of Ween and Eagles of Death Metal) on bass one can expect nothing short of shear punk rock history in the making. No gimmicks, no bullshit. Just pure, unadulterated punk rock. With songs so tasty you'd think they were covers, TVT leaves you wanting more and remembering why you love bands like The Dead Boys, The Damned and Bad Brains. Because there was a sense of danger in there music and it grabbed you by the balls and wouldn't let go til the last note. They do it for themselves and by themselves and if you get it, you're golden.
Not only did TV Tramps get the opportunity to open up for The Avengers for their first show ever in 2010, but over the past 3 years they've shared the stage with such acts as Youth Brigade, Jim Jones Revue, Pure Hell, Texas Terri Bomb, Michael Graves (ex-Misfits), The Vibrators, The Zounds, The Rezillos, Berlin, Jello Biafra and soon The Sonics.
TV Tramps has played at such NY venues as The Knitting Factory, Mercury Lounge, Europa, La Poisson Rouge, Fortune Cookie Lounge, Bar Matchless, The Trash Bar, Hank's Saloon, Local 269 and Otto's Shrunken Head. They also had the opportunity of opening up for Naked Raygun at The 2011 Lollapalooza after-party at The Cobra Lounge in Chicago.
They are currently gearing up for their seond tour in March and continue to perform regularly in the NJ/NY/PA area while promoting their debut album “Rip You Up” which was released in 2014 on Little Dickman Records.
