Bio
The Alcohollys are an all female punk rock band. They formed in London, Ontario in March 2009. These punk rock darlings have been rocking all over South-Western Ontario ever since. The Alcohollys bring their unique brand of punk rock served with a side of attitude, theatrics and audience participation.
The band had done a handful of shows in 2010 when they received the Jack Richardson Music Award for Best Punk Artist of 2010.
The Alcohollys recorded their debut e.p. “The Alcohollys,” with producer Darren Magierowski at Route 66 Recordings in 2010. With the successful release of the band’s self titled e.p., playing shows, and much radio play on London’s own 94.9 CHRW; the band’s popularity took off like a rocket. The Alcohollys have been featured in The London Free Press, The Toronto Sun, The Londoner and SCENE Magazine.
The Alcohollys have shared the stage with acts such as CJ Sleez, The Matadors, PeeLander-Z, Big John Bates & the VooDoo Dolls, The Mudmen and many more. The Alcohollys have performed at many legendary venues such as London’s own Call The Office and Toronto’s Bovine Sex Club.
In 2011, Dana Hartman (aka “Kimber Hart” - Lead Vocals, Keys, Guitar) and Tanya Candler (aka “Scarlet Fever” - Vocals, Lead Bass) welcomed the addition of Mercedes Lander (aka “Ruby Pubey”- Drums) of famed London metal band Kittie.
The Alcohollys are now TWO time Jack Richardson Music Award Winners for Best Punk in 2010 and 2012.
