Personal Details

Bio A rock/garage rock band from Windsor, Ontario, Canada consisting of brothers Mike Konstantino and Dave Konstantino and Nate Gelinas, The Hypnotics take their influences and put a modern spin on them through their own, unique rock and roll sound. Their album Modern Art Entertainment features a dirty rock and roll sound mainly influenced by rock and roll bands of the 1970s, as well as featuring a variety of styles. Influences on Modern Art Entertainment includes bands such as The Rolling Stones, The Clash, The Velvet Underground, The Stooges/Iggy Pop, The Replacements and The Beatles.

 Modern Art Entertainment was the follow-up to their debut album Static Fuzz Radio released in 2011, which was well-received on campus radio throughout Canada. Static Fuzz Radio charted on the official Earshot! Canadian National Top 50 Campus Radio Charts for 13 weeks (peaking at #11 nationally). Modern Art Entertainment was similarly well-received on the Earshot! Canadian National Top 50 Campus Radio Charts, charting for 15 weeks in 2016 and peaking at #30 nationally. Their releases have also been getting some college radio airplay in the US and on other US stations such as the renowned WFMU.

 Static Fuzz Radio and Modern Art Entertainment were released on their own independent label New Values Records and are available on vinyl and digital streaming services/download. In October 2020, they released Soul At Seven as a single. They are currently working on their 3rd full-length album.

I would guess such footage would be usefull for : 1) working out if we mime, or have any musical ability, 2) looking for colour co-ordinated outfits and matching dance moves, 3) checking that we in some way 'perform' whilst performing - and this is far more common a problem than some people think, many a time I've wondered if some acts are merely living out the end credits of their own channel 5 afternoon movie, rather than 'shaking' it. You'll expect me to write some powerful awe filled statement of live power, so here goes (I can play the game) :- Last time we played I lost a shoe. I can supply a note from my Mum if needed to explain the whole 'shoegate' incident. If the purpose of the footage was purely to ascertain how attractive we are I hope the attached image helps.
