- Buddy Smiles, 8 years old
Born in 1989, Buddy Smiles has always been too precocious for his own good. From a very young age, Buddy has always had something to say. This brutal honesty has molded his character, steering him through 26 extremely turbulent years on this earth. Those who know Buddy personally are familiar with his tall tales; stories from his youth that are so unbelievably sad or humorous, they seem to defy the perimeters of reality. How can any individual so young have lived so many lives? Many people credit Buddy's traumatic past for his intense relationship with song writing. Buddy himself admits that the violent and uplifting events in his life have greatly influenced his lyrics, but cites another early childhood memory with sparking his love for music. Buddy recalls receiving an acoustic guitar from his uncle striking a chord in him, as well as listening to his mother's country tapes on repeat for hours. Whatever it was that influenced him, one thing is for sure": Buddy Smiles breathes, eats, and sleeps music. It is his life's passion and his only goal. It is his life's journey, one that often takes him down lonely roads and leaves behind a trail of broken hearts. A journey of sacrifice and determination.

target earth records check TEENGENERATE / Live at Shelter LP originaly CD release from my label Target Earth in 2001. TEENGENERATE - Live At Shelter LP I'm going to guess that pretty much nobody reading this needs to be told about Teengenerate; they're one of the most rightfully-revered punk rock bands of the past 25 years! That said, this is still the very first time ever on vinyl for one of their greatest recordings, 2001's "Live At Shelter". I was in Japan when this came out, and it seemed to be playing in every store we visited. My friend and I were totally stoked on it, but decided to hold off on buying the CD and wait for the LP...which never came. Fourteen years later, I'm very pleased to be able to make this happen. Fifteen tracks of high-octane, high-energy raw punk here, and don't be scared by the 'live' angle-- this sounds better than most of their studio records. Played with both the swagger to win over fans of classic garage rock and the fury to appeal to '80s hardcore enthusiasts, this is truly one for everybody.
Dave O'Halloran London Ontario has what's billed as a punk rock flea market happening on Sunday July 22nd. It goes down at Call The Office (long time live music club) on the patio and inside.
