Bio
del-Toros aren’t just your average rock ’n roll band. I’m sure you heard that before, but in this case you can’t deny it. Their stage burning, hot mix of different styles is way too cool. They taste like the best mixed drink you ever had. Made up of shots of dirty rock ’n roll, sweaty punk, greasy hard rock, and cool and exotic surf sounds, they are bound to set your speakers on fire.
Constructed in 2008, del-Toros is a three man high energy power machine that combine all of their influences into some badass tunes. In late 2009, these guys teamed up with Theo de Jong (drummer of the famous Dutch surfrock band The Shavers) who co-produced their debut and self-titled 7 track EP which was released on Undertow-Recordings in 2010.
This collection of 7 songs shows their diversity and excellent writing skills. Driven by punk rock, flirting with stoner and combining this all with manic surf guitar, these guys quickly turned into serious contenders in the Dutch rock ’n roll scene. The EP (released through Undertow-Recordings/ Sonic Rendezvous) received raving reviews in major Dutch magazines and E-zines like Oor, Aardschok, Lords Of Metal and Rock Tribune who described the band like a mix between Motorhead, Dick Dale, Clash, Monster Magnet, Cosmic Psychos and Link Wray
In june 2011 del-Toros drove to Eindhoven Rock City and entered the Bootleg studio to record 3 songs with Peter van Elderen (Peter Pan Speedrock) and Theo Van Rock (Henry Rollins, Ween, Urband Dance Squad, etc.). One of the results from that recordings session is a limited 7 " on colored vinyl. 50 Knots is especially written for the brand new Dutch windsurfing company mXr and it covers every element its stands for. Its a loud, challenging and fast song about their goal to crack the 50 knots average windsurfing speed barrier !
