Favorite Music
lately, it's just girl groups (the shangri-las, the ronettes, the bobbi-pins, elaine and the shardells, etc), soul (wendy rene, irma thomas, solomon burke, mary wells, etc), bands tina lucchesi was/is in, and 70s uk oi! punk (the oppressed, hard skin, angelic upstarts, the business).
the ramones are probably my all time favorite band because of the fact they wrote sincere, quality pop songs, and then played it fast and loud, on the verge of imploding at every chord change from the intensity. i'm also into a lot of ny and detroit proto-punk you might associate with the scene the ramones were part of.
and just to tick off genres, naturally i like garage punk, psych, ye-ye girls, rockabilly, honky tonk, uk anarcho punk, doom metal...i love hearing music from other countries interpreting western pop music, like turkish psych or 1960s chinese garage bands.
Favorite Movies
killer klowns from outer space, reanimator, hellraiser, evil dead, troll 2, i spit on your grave, rosemary's baby, the omen, repo man, suburbia, waynes's world...i guess pretty much any penelope spheeris...and so on.
