Has anybody else heard this before? Sounds a lot like "Blackout of Gretely" and "Dirty Water." This band also did a cover of "Strychnine."

I don't have the album with this song so don't have easy access to any song credits that would be listed. Does anyone know who the woman is who sings on this track. I would have assumed that it is Michelle Mae but since she doesn't sing on this live version posted by K Records, I now assume it's someone else. Is the woman who sings in this video the same person who sings on the studio version? If not, who sings on the studio version and who is singing in this video? Thanks.

No , you can't replace that feeling of going through many , perhaps crappy , records , and finding , as you say , a real gem , or even something you may later come to realize is also a gem , and say , D'OH !!! We are still lucky , here in Chicago , that we still have record stores. When Reckless and Wax Trax were duking it out for vinyl supremacy from about 1989 - 92 , and the smaller stores were still hanging it in , that was the best time , but , even now , we're spoiled , compared to a lot of other MAJOR FUCKING CITIES who should be overwhelmed by the show of support  their record stores are recieving  , only to find , they have no record stores , or damned few. The internet is a greatthing to have, if you don't live near any record stores , or are searching for something rare , but , it's appalling how readily people will turn their backs on their local small businesses.

I was jonesin' for a copy of "Neil's Heavy Concept Album" by Nigel Planer (As Neil from "The Young Ones".).... had a couple of songs on an old mixtape , and even , to my shock , found the single , (Traffic's )"Hole In My Shoe"b/w "HurdyGirdy Mushroom Man" , at a thrift store. But ,Melissa was good enough to burn me a CD of the album.

Jymn , I did'nt know , before , that you wrote the "Web of Sound" review in Ugly Things. Good review.   I just saw it , yesterday . The mono mix is one Web of Sound you'll want to be mixed in. I like the mono "Full Spoon of Seedy Blues" , too .....you're right , it's an album that does'nt deserve the bad rep it has. First two are still my faves , but , I find myself liking "Full Spoon" more with each listen. Too bad no one will ever re-mix "Raw and Alive".......or will they ?

 It sounds familiar , like some early 80's Psych/Garage WTF thing , but , I can't place it.

I am searching since 3 years for a song I heard at a german festival (not live, only as a background song during a break). Nobody knows that song. Maybe it is an old garage punk song.

Here is my video capture of that song, probably not the best quality, but better than nothing. Some lyrics could be: " you can go and run around and tell them all the truth... I don´t need you ..."

Yeah - - thing is though, I was more or less talking about metal music of the 80's - - this was when money was poured into heavy metal and the sub-genre's of the music could be counted on one hand.  Not to say metal's dead - in fact it seems to be doig very well, but certainly that 80's kind of approach to metal is gone.  As for the new stuff - - I kind of tuned out of metal when I found out about groups like Husker Due and SST label bands and now the louder noisier punk bands like Guitar Wolf.
