Always quotable. Johnny straddles the line , here , between intimidating and genuinely hilarious. OH, YEAH. He still does that. "Freedom . Something the Hippies spoke of...when I was selling LSD at Hawkwind shows....OH , SHIT. Edit that part out.

    • I've always liked the cover's album "Garage Punk" by "The Vibrators". Some really cool stuff on there, won't list any track's, i think they're all great.

Here's a link to the album on spotify for those of you who use it: http://open.spotify.com/album/6kbdVPNYclNXmoydIh0V8I

    • Ramones' Acid Eaters album is a great one-stop thrill ride full of garage/punk covers (and a great gateway album for squares).

    • Nice choices - I'll have to look up that Renegades track (I love Bill Haley).

    • The Dolls' seldom heard killer verson of Eddie Cochran's "Somethin' Else" (Tho' Eddie is plenty Punk with me) . There's a  version on a bootleg that's better than the one on "Red Patent Leather" (A glorified bootleg , anyway.) . Better 'n Sid , but , arguably not as good as Slade's medley , that and "Pistol Packin' Mama" , BASED , OF COURSE , ON THE GROOVIES, whose version I like , BUT SLADES' VERSion destroys everything in it's path.

Nuthin's been pulled, Chris... just had to focus on other things for a while is all.

I got a the raw mats for a next Nasty Grind which I'll get out for June. It'll have some proper good tunes, you have been warned...

Till then I'm off to Vancouver where I'm gonna get Lady Muck legitimized... :)

Hey, and thanks for the downloads of old shows while I've been inactive, that's been very encouraging...

    • Good riddance, indeed.

The podcasts alone are an integral part of this community and, I think, why a lot of people keep coming back to the HideOut.  To try and argue that the podcasts are a bad thing is bad blood in the community.

Here's another one.  I think it was originally done by Frankie Lane but everyone else on earth has done a version, too.

      Jezebel.
      Jezebel.

If ever the devil was born,
      Without a pair of horns
      It was you,
      Jezebel, it was you.

      If ever an angel fell,
      Jezebel,
      It was you.
      Jezebel, it was you.

If ever a pair of eyes,
      Promised paradise.
      Deceiving me, grieving me,
      Leavin' me blue.
      Jezebel, it was you.

      If ever the devil's plan,
      Was made to torment man,
      It was you,
      Jezebel, it was you.

'Twould be better I had I never known,
      A lover such as you.
      Forsaking dreams and all,
For the siren call of your arms.

Like a demon, love possessed me,
      You obsessed me constantly.
      What evil star is mine,
      That my fate's design,
      Should be Jezebel?

If ever a pair of eyes,
      Promised paradise.
      Deceiving me, grieving me,
      Leavin' me blue.
      Jezebel, it was you.

      If ever the devil's plan,
      Was made to torment man,
      It was you,
      Night an' day, every way.
      Oh, Jezebel, Jezebel, Jezebel.
