not a good song or anything, but I remember when my bro was a little kid he thought the MC Hammer song Can't Touch This was King Tuskis... Shitty song, but I think it's funny nonetheless.

I also thought " I Wanna Be Sedated" went "I get it from my teachers , I get it from my friends, oh , no , oh , no oh ohhh", which said it all when I was in High School.
Now , when I hear it at the GROCERY STORE , I have to chuckle.

A friend of mine found some Hurriganes records in the late 70's. The record store clerk told him , "If you like those guys , I know a band you'd love....THE PIRATES.".

My godson used to sing the Misfits' Attitude as "Attitude You got some MONKEY attitude" I never though to correct her and now the song has a new meaning.

Here's a bizarre but true story regarding this subject. We just reformed THE SLOTHS at the end of this summer. All of us Sloth members we apart of the Hollywood Sunset Strip era of 1964 to 1966. No one knew that 'Makin' Love' the 45 the original group made in 1965 but was never released, had somehow been discovered and on the 'Back From The Grave 4' album. Nor did we know The Gories and other bands had covered it, or that an original single with sleeve had been sold for as high as $6550.00 on eBay. We were all amazed. Ugly Things magazine just did a cover story on the group. But the point is..all this led to us getting together again (in a garage, of course) and starting playing the songs exactly as we had 45 years ago. Some of us had not played, nor have I sang, in over 4 decades. But it was as if no time had passed. Now we're being booked in clubs and venues. The most surreal thing is we were all around 16yrs old back in the day. Now we're in our 60s playing the music of the 60s with more energy and passion than when we were teens. Too Old To Rock? Not yet, thank God.

I wasn't able to figure out how to find yer playlist on spotify. My recommendation tho is Nathaniel Mayer, White Dress.
Love Spotify! I'll try to look it up & add :)
I spend far too much time making playlists on spotify. I think I have some really good ones too....
This is perhaps the best- 100 tracks from 5 or maybe 6 different decades!
I have two profiles(so i can listen to more songs!)
Please add me to your spotify guys!
I was in The Boys from Nowhere- named after a ripping DMZ song! Later monoman "stole" our drummer Johnny Bernardo...RIP Johnny. The Customs are "Lyre like" as mentioned, also there is a band here in Cincinnati now called the Long Gones who are great fun.
The Cynics
I don't usually like live albums, but this one really is the shit.

That live Lyres album on Crypt is a must-have, too.
Alexander said:Yes,"The way...." is a great song-I like most the cd"the early years79-83"(Crypt records),because it has this raw garage sound.I saw them once in Berlin in the 80`s-it was amazing-LYRES rule!!!But DMZ are also VERY VERY good.
I got two of my favourite albums of the year.
Nursing home by Let's Wrestle
and Veronica Falls by Veronica Falls

Also I got a shangri-las album which im still not sure about.
Wow, what a tired old argument/discussion... no disrespect to the OP, but this is really a breeding ground for silly arguments. My opinion? Punk is a style of music, the style doesn't change when notoriety and/or money enter the equation. You either play it or you don't.
The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side."
- Hunter S. Thompson
(I stole this from the Sympathy site)
My vote is Velocity of Sound. (started in 2011 I think)

Great choices. In The Red is awesome. Also, I can't wait for that new Sonic Avenues LP out next month on Dirtnap!
