On our last 7" with The Cavaliers we do the Bunker Hill /Linkwray cover , "dance party" released on Kizmiaz records.
The Dustaphonics....UK based combo who record on Dirty Water Records. They mix in some soul, 60's surf, garage and whatever else to make some really cool Rock'n'Roll!
Thanks guys.I really appreciate it. I'm gonna research all of your suggestions
burns double 6 is like 600
thanks lads really helpful.
you can get a danelectro for around 200-300 bucks on ebay
I got a Rickenbacker copy off of ebay a few years ago. It was made in indonesia, no specific make on it. It has done a pretty good job, not quite as nice as a rickenbacker but it only cost me $300.
A brand that I would check out would be Agile. I have a 12 string they made and it is great! Cost me the same as the Rickenbacker copy. Another brand to check out would be Dillion.
Hope this helped!
I'm talking about some cheaper than rickenbacen or vox or burns..
I was there at the death , a small pub in canterbury hailed the end of the shanks those legends of medway punk rock. A brilliant set only interrupted by Dick Scum feeling unwell ( i thought he was going to pop his fucking clogs) but he finished the number Val Doonican style on a bar stool. What a bleeding trooper.

When I asked them why they weren't coming to NYC, they said that last time they came no one came to their show. NYC really doesn't appreciate the classic acts. It's sad.
The old 9:30 Club in Washington DC, Empty Bottle and the Hideout in Chicago.
Not a club, but an ex-cinema...the legendary Glasgow Apollo, formerly Green's Playhouse...sadly now torn down.Saw my first big rock'n'roll show there - Lou Reed supported by Ducks Deluxe.Saw Captain Beefheart there too.
I like the Bowery Electric in NYC, along with the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland, OH, and Skully's in Columbus, OH. Here in Pittsburgh, I like the 31st Street Pub and Gooski's.
I like the Bowery Electric because it's just a couple doors down from where CBGB used to be, and it has something of a CBGB vibe.
I saw two of the three Rolling Rock tours at the Beachland Ballroom, and I saw Manda and the Marbles during their CD release party for "Angels with Dirty Faces" at Skully's (One of my all time favorite gigs). I also saw MATM for the last time at Skully's.
I like the Pub because it is like a home grown version of CBGB, without any of the history or prestige. Gooski's has a great jukebox, full of garage, glam, punk, and post punk bands.
Hi everyone ,
I'm Eric from Poitiers (France).
I'm running "The Go Sound Invasion" radioshow with my friend David for almost 17 years.
Being a teen I listened to shitty music , then a friend introduce me to the Sex Pistols and The Clash: my life changed.
Then I discover Nuggets and Back from the grave etc ......

Glad to be member of the Garagepunk hideout.
Have a nice day.

My name is Jeremy, I'm 37, married, with two bad ass daughters.
I live in a tiny, tiny town in oklahoma.
I play guitar and sing in a band called the Flash Bangs: http://www.facebook.com/theflashbangs
I've been listening to this kind of music for a good long while. I love oldies stations (or loved, I guess, there's not any around here anymore), anything manic and raw, and anything Nuggets-esque. I love talking about music, writing music, recording music, and performing music. I don't like getting into pissing matches with hipsters about obscurities. I like meeting nice people.
I'd love it if there were some adults who liked this kind of rock and roll in the Tulsa area, because I feel like I've already met or are playing with most of them, lol. Look me up on facebook if you are so inclined, and if you've got a garage rock band wanting to do a show in Tulsa, The Flash Bangs would love to have you close for us ;-)
@Justin - It doesn't really work like that, the similar artists are determined by people's listening habits, and how they tag bands/songs. You basically have to find people on there who listen to bands that YOU think your band sounds like, and add them as friends, then ask them to listen to and tag your band. It's a huge pain in the ass.
As far as the photos go, I think you're pretty much screwed. Last.fm is all Wiki-based, so anyone can add whatever they want and it seems like there's very little moderation going on over there.

Last.fm is currently the bane of my existence. The site is cool and the features are cool, but the similar artists for our band is all jacked and there's no way to fix it. Pretty frustrating, also frustrating to get them to delete the pictures when your lineup changes and stuff.
I guess it's my fault for ignoring last.fm for the last four years. We used to be on a super extra-punk label and I guess a lot of bands who wanted to be on that label tagged their stuff as being similar to ours and it's not at all. Just as an example listen to this song and then click on any of the "similar artists" - apples to oranges.
Anyone else have their band's stuff up there? Have you ever had this problem? Right now we're trying to get our street team to "scrobble" so that this gets fixed, but they don't say how often they re-set the "similar artists" thingy
Oh boy, more fun.
wow another volume, are you planning on more volumes or taking it as it comes?
will submit a Branded song from our forthcoming LP on soundflat
