You have to remember that the term hip hop refers to the four corners as Hip Hoppers call it: Rappers, DJ's, dancers and Graph Artists. There's a great doco called Scratch which is mainly about DJing but sorta looks at the other three aspects of Hip Hop.

Well I guess that would take us into the "rock/rap" thing ala Limp Bizkit and ... errrrrr, other stuff that I can't really think of right now. I remember the Faith No More track "We Care A Lot", though musically I would'nt call any of that stuff Hip-Hop but that's just me.

I do remember buying the soundtrack to the movie Judgement Night. It was pretty cool actually. Rappers doing tracks with rock groups - Ice-T & Slayer, Cypress Hill & Pearl Jam, Boo-Yaa Tribe & Faith No More, De La Soul & Sonic Youth, House Of Pain & Helmet and Sir Mix-a-lot & Mudhoney! The movie sucked though.

I was always suspicious of that rock/rap stuff. You can just imagine all the studio exec's saying, "Well gee, our artists are middleclass white boys... but they are STREET!!! If we get 'em to curse and wear LA Raiders gear we could still tap into the rap world." Rubbing their grubby, corporate little hands together... KER-CHING!!!

What about Faith No More?

Hmm....I always considered Jesus and Mary Chain more like shoegazer but their vocals were too mechanical. Probably that's the goth-y part.

But yeah, check out Jesus and Mary chain they are one of my favorite Goth bands next to Bauhaus and the Damned. Also check out Love and Rockets, not Goth per se, but you might like them.

I figured if he's touring the states for his book, people could just ask him themselves in person(that is if they decide to go see him). I guess I meant to say this thread is better for places he's not stopping at or is not going to be before July 19th.

I just watched a youtube video, and apparantly there's a preset on the VE-20 that's called 'Harmonica', which is meant to mimic a Green Bullet. Pretty interesting, but if the green bullet sound is what you're after, just buy the mic!

green bullet is good if you are lookin for a heavy distorted voice,
but they have a lot of feedback and you cant have a clean voice.is expansive and there is not possibility to put it on a mic stand.
if you need a very cheap wild lo-fi mic you can try a telephone mic.
my friend chuckviolence(a good brazilian one man band) he make one whit the telephone tape capsule puttin on a bicycle lamp case.
you can do it whit 10 dollars.

If your playing a club where you set up the PA, you can have total control from the stage. If you are dealing with a soundman, just set it up a he can patch it through your channel.

I know that as part of its basic Merchant package, yahoo offers the ability to offer downloads. I don't know if they'll let you set the Price to "free" though.

In the library I used to work at symbols were filed before numbers and in the order they were placed on the standard typewriter/keyboard and MS word normal text symbol menu. So, if you choose to file ? and the Mysterians under the symbol then those albums could be filed before the numbers, and you could also file ¡Viva! L'American Death Ray Music by symbol, if that band uses Spanish grammer, don't know, or just by letter, but you get the gist. When in doubt ask a cataloging librarian, those people are anal beyond belief!
