The new Hex Dispensers is great one my fav of the ending year, the Beat Beat Beat's "living in the future" is as classy as the Carbonas' LP on Goner. All this ain't new anyway but just killer. Snazzy Boys do great stuff too. Yep.
F'ke Blood from Detroit, Michigan. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kC79IGJR0ME

Yeah, Charlie and the Moonhearts are awesome. I also really like Teen Anger, who was on the other side of that Telephone Explosion split with Charlie. I've never heard of them before, and I've never heard of anything else they did, but it was a great listen.
Matt Fraser said:charlie and the moonhearts are the shit.... Dead Ghosts from Vancouver... Hellshovel(Jeff Clark side project)... pretty much anything on the telephone explosion label

I like The Comet here in Cincinnati, best bands and coldest PBR in town.
I could have sworn I saw a video with the Fuzztones playing at this venue or something like it. It looked embarrassing ( I mean for the Fuzztones to be playing a festival where it was outdoors and nobody was paying any real attention). I get the feeling that most of you think the Fuzztones are embarrassing just in general. VarmentPoontang said:
I'd love to see a really good line up at this great outdoor venue in the Crossroads District in downtown Cowtown(Kansas City)
I don't go as much as I use to and it is indeed tiny but the Comet Tavern in Seattle is pretty cool, also. Capitol Hill near Broadway. F-Holes said:

Bluestars - Social End Product
I’ve carried my girl through the mean city streets
(Changin my mind)? with her every week
????
????
I’ve been labeled as an angry young man
Because I don’t fit into the master plan
Under society’s microscope
I look funny but it’s no joke
I’m a social end product so don’t blame me
I’m a social end product of society
It’s not my fault that I don’t belong
It’s the world around me that’s gone all wrong
How did you expect me to turn out?
Did you want me just a little boy scout?
Before you start to criticize me
Take a look and you will see
See see see
I’m a social end product so don’t blame me
I’m a social end product of society
It’s not my fault that I don’t belong
It’s the world around me that’s gone all wrong
Big Muff. Always satisfies. Wooly Mammoth by Zvex kicks ass too.
So is anyone else going to see the Mummies? I'm really excited about this as this will be the first time in 17 years since I've seen them.
I did check your blog earlier *after* I commented (me: "Gee. Maybe something more important is going on in Kopper's life than podcasting. Let me check his blog...") Again, my heart goes out to y'all. Good schooling! A few you listed I haven't heard of and I'll have to check out! Again, not knocking the tradition, just using too much verb 100% of the time to the point where I can't-understand-a-word-coming-out-of-your-mouth. Counter productive. Sorry. kopper said:
The best DJs used reverb. Ever listened to some of the great DJs of the '50s and '60s? Dewey Phillips, Allan Freed, Wolfman Jack, The Mad Daddy, Murray "The K" Kaufman, Mad Mike Metrovich, Johnny Rabbitt, The Real Don Steele, Boom Boom Brannigan, Johnnie Walker, Casey Casem, Robert W. Morgan, Dr. Don Rose, The Emperor Bob Hudson, Russ "The Moose" Syracuse, Rick Shaw, Bobby Ocean, James "The Hound" Marshall, etc. etc. etc.
Only the boring modern radio jocks don't. Who wants to be like them?
Haven't done a podcast in months. Been preoccupied. Check my blog and that should explain everything.

I know some of you hate Little Steven's Underground Garage because his format is not pure enough for you, but I just wanted to let you know that Handsome Dick Manitoba will interview Iggy Pop on his Underground Garage radio show. This will be aired on Oct. 30, 8-12 p.m., on Channel 25, Sirius/XM Radio. I don't know the XM channel off the top of my head, so you XM subscribers will have to look it up. I just thought some people here might like to hear the banter between two punk rock legends.
Are there any satellite radio subscribers here? If so, what do you like and don't like about it?
