Hey, thanks for putting me on to them! Wondrously so, I was just thinking of them and here they are.
Atomic, man those Vivian Boys are the fun! They got like ten pluses with me doing "the witch" - it's a great video. Thanks for that!

I prefer the Vivian Boys. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awRtjc7heM8&feature=related
Yo I got the Vivian Girls record, is anyone else into it? Reminds of the Bangles but that would be a disservice to 'um. Great echo/reverb guitar, primal stomp drums and plodding bass lines. And they shriek like harpies. I'm looking forward to the next record. k. :) www.myspace.com/viviangirlsnyc
Been looking forward to this universal release for a long while. Nowhere near parts that had the selective showings in the past so it's about time! Too bad all the guys aren't around anymore.

Maybe our fellow Garagepunk member Mike Fornatale can say something about all this.I've heard, however, that one should beware of a bias in this film on behalf of the German film makers towards the band's German management...

The Friedles 45 picture sleeve has a whole bunch of little bats on it. They had business cards, too with different pictures of the band. They must have had some money behind them. There's one band on Attack of the Jersey Teens that ain't from Jersey at all! They're from Pennsylvania and go by the name of T.P. and the Indians, first band on the flip. SarahJayne said:

Proper name is Cazumbi as read on the back and side, but the front is indeed a bit confusing.
I got mine from Soundflat. I believe they still got em in stock: Cazumbi
Great comp! Nice but short linernotes, which make you wanna google for more. Really unexpected from such unusual places but then again, isn't that what's music's all about?
The LP is limited to only 700 copies so better hurry (don't know why those things always need to be ltd but let's save that for another discussion)

Anyone know where you can get this comp? See: http://black2com.blogspot.com/2009/01/gazumbi-african-sixties-garage-vol.html
The worst that could be said about these two songs are that they make KK&BBQ look like a tease. "Animal Party" is part "Pig, Pig" mashed with "Why Don't You Lie". KK takes the role of aggressor with BBQ sticking to the crooning. Until things get "typically" out of control and descend into their special brand of lunacy. "God of Raisins" would fit perfectly on the S/T album or What's for Dinner? The upbeat call and response vocals make this a fun song, but that doesn't mean they don't make time for a dead on impression of the Tazamanian devil. Like I said though the two songs are a tease. After two long years these two songs leave you begging for more. Hopefully this is just a taste... For the vinyl collectors the songs are worth the purchase and everyone else can get them over at eMusic.
Maybe something by the Macc Lads so I'll at least die laughing....
M.O.T.O would help some...
It's about time the new guys were properly introduced! As you all have probably noticed we have two additional hosts on the Sonic Nightmares Podcast - Brother Panti-Christ and El Tiki. Brother Panti-Christ AKA Robert Butler is possibly best known to some of you as the bass player for The Untold Fables and The Miracle Workers. He moved to Switzerland in the early '90s and has been playing in bands with Beat-Man & Gringo for several years as well as starting his own Rock & Roll panty factory in the mid 2000's. Check his shit out at pantichrist.com. El Tiki AKA Sasha Blumer single-handedly came up with the whole Sonic Nightmares radio show idea in the early '90s. Sasha is the web master for magnolia.ch, a culture blog/web site for artists, musicians and freaks. Let's give 'em a warm GaragePunk.com welcome!
--Just a note to Kopper -> could you send Brother Panti-Christ an invite to the GaragePunk Podcasters group? Thanks in advance!

I need to play more slide.
Oh and I need some more rockabilly type licks. I swear to god I just keep using the same two over and over.

A very sad day, made easier with many tributes and toasts.
