I don't know if I'd call the Cramps a cover band, at least a good half of their repertoire is originals. I usually like their original songs more anyway. But good to meet ya, bruvver!

Personal Details

  • Bio I've been in various bands over the years. I currently play guitar in garage/punk/novelty band the Sump Pump Sluts.

Back in my hometown of New Castle, Pennsylvania, I was the front man for punk rock/Oi! band Dead City Dealers. Other short lived projects in my sordid past include The Disliked (where I played rhythm guitar), Bob Sagget and the FullHouse, The Яeversatiles, and The RUNS. I also do the occasional solo work (of the lo-fi, home recording variety), and collaborate with whoever'll put up with me.

I've been a guitarist, a front man, a pirate radio DJ, a promoter, a graphic artist, a critic, a webzine editor/webmaster... and haven't seen one red cent from any of it!
  • Favorite Music Ramones, Dead Milkmen, Cramps, Electric Frankenstein, Toy Dolls, Cheap Trick, Toots and the Maytals, various garage and punk bands, novelty crap, '50s and '60s Jamaican music, rockabilly, some Oi!, surf rock, '50s R&B, all kindsa soul, '70s punk, power pop, and glam.
  • Favorite Movies Mostly horror, comedy, sci fi, and cheesy action flicks. Oh, and documentaries.
  • Other Hobbies/Interests Eating hot dogs, binging TV series on Netflix, going to the public library, drinking cider and whiskey, watching porn, going to local shows.
  • John Battles Dallas Punk gods , The Nervebreakers , have a new album out on Steady Freddie Records. The Nervebreakers ruled the roost in the Late 70's/Early 80s , and they opened for The Sex Pistols , The Ramones and The Clash. They also backed Roky Erickson. They reformed in 2008 and recorded this album which is just now seeing the light of day. Trust me , it sounds like '77-'78 all over again. All fans of ''Killed By Death" style Punk are advised to buy the album , which is called "Face Up To Reality".
