Sometimes the nightlight in my head flickers through the fogbank, sometimes it doesn't. Great to hear from you! I'm looking forward to the new record. A friend of mine does a radio show here in Wichita, I'll make sure he plays some songs. Friend him here on GP.com, his name is Doornail, and his show is called Kustom City Sounds. As for the Norton fest, the Sunday show with the Real Kids, A-bones, and Sonics was the first show to sell out. I was thinking of going, but it sold out within days. Thursday, if you're there that early, still has tickets available. It would still be fun to see the 5.6.7.8.'s and Phantom Surfers. Instead, I'm going to the Riot Fest in Chicago again this year. Killing two birds with one stone, y' know. Also on that Saturday (Oct. 9th), Man or Astroman? is playing at the Metro. They're only doing a few dates, so I wanna catch 'em while I can. When is the Sick Rose going to come over and play in the states, or is that just ...    less

The Sick Rose new album No Need For Speed is coming out in October, it took us 4 years to make it, but we weren't in a worry (as is title explains…) and it was definitely worth it. Produced by aussie garage legend Dom Mariani (the Stems), it is by far our best and most mature work.

Our first two albums (Faces and Shaking Street) have been re-released recently on vinyl and for the first time on cd and mp3.

Andrew! how are you? By the way, I'm Giorgio…

I see you're still into the the lo-fi garage… It's a long term relationship that last past the fancy trends!

When I got back to Italy I re-joined my old band and got back into the garage scene… we toured with the Lyres, opened for the chesterfield Kings, recorded with the Stems, jammed with Nomads, Crimson Shadows, Creeps… a great lot of fun.

The Sick Rose in the meantime (15/20 years now…) moved to a more power-pop melodic sound. But we still rock…  A NEW ALBUM is coming out next month and we are ready to  take it on tour.

By the way, I'm going to be in NYC in november right in conjunction with the Norton fest! I tried to get tickets but they are all sold out… do you have any suggestion on how to get some? Me and my girlfriend are dying to see the Real Kids!!!
