Bio My name is James G. Carlson. At present, I am both chief editor and head writer for The Urban Artist Group Magazine's Sounds from the City Earth Underground segment, the Indie Music Journalist for The Philadelphia Examiner, and an occasional contributor for Plug In Music Magazine, No Depression, and others. When I can, I travel to different places for shows. I sort through piles of press kits. And I network throughout the underground/independent music communities. It's all about supporting underground/independent artists, exposing their music to those who are able to appreciate it, and keeping music as far away from the corporate machine as possible.
