The Woggles always kill it. I first saw them in Tuscaloosa , Alabama in '93 or '94. I've always caught them in Chicago (They usually sleep on my floor......But , I  put the shotgun away so they could get up and  go to the bathroom) until the other night....I spoke to Patrick , the Bass player, before they got to town , though. They had'nt played here in a long time . About eight years? How did itgo? (Please , have an interpreter transcribe the ROBBLE , ROBBLE, thanks.)

I caught the St Louis show.  I hadn't seen them in a decade.  They played to about 12 people but rocked like it was 1200.  They're one of the best live bands I've seen.  I'd compare them to the Fleshtones in that regard (who are playing StL next month). 

Can't make it : (     , playing the Norton Benefit , but , come on by if it's not too late , to the Bottom Lounge , afterward . HAVE'NT MISSED THE WOGGLES SINCE.....WHEN DID THEY FIRST PLAY CHICAGO? WELL OVER 15 YEARS AGO. But ,have a great show. John.

So excited to finally be seeing the Stooges!  They're headlining Saturday.  Naturally I have an idea what time they go on.  But the rest of the bands I want to see could either be way early on the main stage or late at night on a smaller stage.  Oh the "joy" of all day music fests.....

I know Kim Lenz play at 10pm.  Other than that...no clue!

Anyone have a hookup for the set times?

They could trade a Hendrix song for "Every Night a New Surprise.". I know , how incorrect !I mean, we know Jimi was a big supporter of the group , and that's great , but , we've heard these songs a zillion times. If you're going to make people pay $65 , give 'em some more surprises. Even Zakary Thaks (Sorry for the earlier spelling) nailed "You're Gonna Miss Me " and "Levitation", tho' it seems everyone disagreed.

Yeah, I do like Shiner Bock, but (O God, here it comes) I could swear it tasted maltier back in the 1980's! Hope they didn't change the recipe!

Another thing about it: for about a decade it's been owned by the folks in the Pearl, BridgePort! Small world, innit?

Yeah, bring on some Spanish and Italian beers I say, I always enjoy learning about other types/brands of beers from places reknown for wine!

Estrella is from Barcelona. It's everywhere in Spain along with Cruz Campo, Mahou (spelling?) and Alhambra. Never see anyone really rave aout them, they are I guess a bit like the Buds & Millers of Spain, but I really like all those Spanish beers. Easy drinking but with some flavor to them. Bohemia & Negra, those would probably be some of my go to beers especially on tap. And you being from Texas, how about Shiner Bock? I like that one. They have it on tap at one of the local bar/clubs here. Sorry, Dave, I know this post is supposed to be about Portland beers.
