The Stents are playing 3 big shows this weekend!
Fri OCT 5: Bridgeport, CT Bijou Theatre with The Zambonis. Garage and Hockey Rock (puck rock?) together again.
Sat OCT 6: Baltimore, MD Stoneleigh Duckpin Lanes with Philly's phabulous GTVs (Soul Organ Garage Stompers!). Beer, bowling, bands. The holy trinity.
Sun OCT 7: Washington, DC The Codmother. This is a FREE show and we go on at 6:10pm. It's part of that Sweet Tea and Pumpkin Pie Fest that's taking over the city all weekend. There's a zillion bands playing but the ONLY garage rock is right here with The Stents! FREE and EARLY!

Mankato has a long history as being a Punk hotbed. History being the main point..I am working on putting us back on the map!! Still lots of punk/garage in the area and more popping up every week it seems. Come check out our scene!! We have numerous venues available and I work very hard to combine to ensure a great show!!! Please contact me if you are planning anything in the midwest!!

Well , I'd say Fortune and Maltese and Thee Phabulous Pallbearers , but , that was about 15 , not only 2 , years ago. Cool that you're still at it. Take care.

The intelligence is playing the satellite oct. 4th. That should be a great show.
Radical! I'm loving Death Hymn right now. I'm stoked to check all these bands out. Keep em coming. Unfortunately I'll be in Vegas for that FTF thing.
I saw Audacity last night at Alex's Bar with Natural Child and Feeding People. I really liked Feeding People, they have some interesting stuff going on.
I'm currently debating whether I wanna go to the Hunx and his Punx show at Blue Star tonight, there will be a Cher impersonator there, so chances are high.
Good places to see shows are, The Redwood, The Echo, the Down and Out, The Bootleg, The Smell, and in Long Beach, Alex's Bar. Not sure the best place to get show information online, I usually get mine from Facebook. Good local bands are Death Hymn no.9, Tijuana Panthers, Hanni El Katib, TRMRS, Audacity, Cosmonauts, Dante Vs. Zombies, Savage Gospel, Off!, and tons more I'm forgetting. If I think of some more, I'll list 'em.
Where da shows at?
What websites are shows listed on?
What bands do it for kicks and not chicks?
I'll be there...

We're having a 35th celebration on Fri. 9/21 at Radio in Somerville, MA.
http://www.facebook.com/events/382382368497974/
The party starts at 9PM w/ the Shirt Lifters, comprised of local band guys doing lots of old punk rock covers, and Cocked n Loaded covering heavier stuff, along with videos of long gone Boston bands and a screening of the LRC documentary happening in the downstairs room.
In addition, we have special programming all week dedicating a decade to each half hour, so the 70's and pre punk from 10AM-10:30, 80's from 10:30-11, 90's from 11-11:30 and the 2000's on for the last half hour. Should be a good time, tune in if you can (or catch the archives, up for 2 weeks).

The Larroquettes need a drummer. Must have your own kit, transportation and live in the city. Please know who the following bands are as this is the music we like and are influenced by. Oblivians, The Mummies, White Strips, The Drags, Teengenerate, The Mooney Suzuki, The Troggs, The Fleshtones, The Stooges etc. Please have some way of showing us you can play the drums.
