Hi Peter, We are looking to get on a bill. We have gigs Thurs the 5th and Sat the 7th. We are looking for something on the 6th. It would even be cool to play a party.
If you're look looking for an opening act my band would dig. Http://www.reverbnation.com/keyth
The Connies (SF) will be in town and looking to get on a bill Fri July 6th!
Here is a page with some tunes and a video.
I'm stuck in Stanwood for the time being. This place is like Hell, except no one is here.
tonight is your lucky night Jim..... You can be one of the few to experience this shitty ass show with SI SI SI, The Bermudas (Night Beats), Fuzzy Cloaks (The Pharmacy), and Mr. Elevator and the Brain Hotel (LA, TRMRS). Its at the comet at nine pm on capitol hill!
Capitol Hill, Fremont and/or Wallingford, Belltown, Georgetown esp., some areas of Ballard
Don't know anyone here or anything about the place, but I moved here anyway. Where are all the freaks hanging out and how do I get a band going? I attached a song here in case anyone wants to know what I was doing before I got here.
We're an NYC based blues/punk outfit who write songs about tiger moms, dead saints, and the Apocalypse. We've been together since last November and have gigged at Arlene's Grocery, Uncle Charlie's, Pete's Candy Store, and Sidewalk Cafe (in addition to shows in Providence and New Haven). In the past year we've dropped our EP "Claws and Stripes Forever," as well as our single "Pledge of Allegiance."
The bottom line is, we need a regular drummer! Someone who can hold down that sweet, sweet pocket while we ride our riffs into the sunset. If you like what you hear on our Bandcamp, please email brotherkmusic@gmail.com listing:
-brief description of your experience
-links to any audio/video of your performances
-capacity for commitment (we're looking for someone willing to play for us long term, not just a one-off show!)
If we're interested we'll email back to schedule an audition. Hit us up if you want to kick out the jams. Peace,
Lucas and Garrett (from Brother K)

Let me just say this... if you dig your tunes a la Pretty Things and Downliner Sect along with any number of lesser known, less polished, off the wall, screed playing, speed popping, r& b infected British invasion acts, and you like 'em infused with a lethal dose of DC punk... then we'll see YOU on the 22nd.

We are essentially a garage punk band from Fort Worth, TX FFO Modern Lovers, the Kinks, Strange Boys or Black Lips.
Started in the summer of 2011 and have since released a cd demo, a cassette split with our friends and labelmates in Doom Ghost and a split 7" with the same dudes.
First tour for this band though and that means we need help with contacts.
I've already hit up quite a few people and its a little ways out but if anyone here would be interested in checking us out or pointing us in the right direction with any of these places I'd really, really appreciate it.
Also, if you're in a band traveling through fort worth/dallas and want to show swap that could be arranged.
Here is the itinerary. The starred *** dates are the ones I particularly need help with:

looking for bands for a show on July 14th at the Haymarket Whiskey Bar.

Bar Pink (half owned by John Reis) has bands and DJ nights pretty much 6 days a week. Tiki Tuesday is pretty awesome. Off The Record is pretty much across the street as well. they have an ok selection. Whistle Stop is fun...good beer.
Attention garage fans! Ghost Bikini will be leaving the relative safety of Atlanta GA and venturing West to California this summer.
Several Garagepunk members have been very helpful with bookings and we appreciate their hard efforts. We still have some holes in our schedule that we need to remedy. Any help or referrals should be sent to ghostbikinigogo@gmail.com

Yankton Sothern wrote two songs a day, five days a week, for several months. He took the best ones and recorded them with a producer and backing band who have previously worked with Jonathan Richman, Exene Cervenka, Dave Alvin, Wilco, and countless others. The current band features members of Thee Fine Lines.
Also playing are Thee Fine Lines and Bruiser Queen. If you're reading this then you're probably from St. Louis and know these bands. If you don't know these bands, you will probably like them based on the fact that you are reading this on a garage rock-oriented forum.
Saturday June 16
CBGB
Free! (but bring money to buy stuff from the bands)
I'm going to be in the twin cities for a few days. I think I have the lowdown on general places to go, but I wanted to see about specific shows, record spins, or other happenings July 12-17. Thanks.
Hey all, I'm a drummer who is looking to start a rockabilly/rock n roll band with punk influences. Problem is, I've had a real hard time finding people with the same aspirations as I. I'm hoping since y'all are fans of rock n roll I should be a little better off. A big thing is I'm still looking to keep the swing in the music. Age doesn't matter as long as you can rock. Hope we can get something going folks!
Peter.
Terrific, talented group of not-so-young rockers looking to fill out line up of all original 60s style garage rock band in Manhattan. The tunes are all there, and the rest of the line up is well rehearsed and champing at the bit! Let's go!
I played drums in Eurotics when you guys played Richmond! Now I'm finally in Seattle, you guys comin this way?
Ya, I'm tight with the gooskis crew and could get you in there as long as they have the date open. 31st st pub not so much. Also, smiling moose is a lil more metal, but could be a place to look. I have contacts there too.
Well, I'm just a fan who knows a few people, but I'll do what I can to help. I would highly recommend the 31st Street Pub or Gooski's, two places that I think are highly suitable for garage bands.
Here's a link to the Pub's website...
http://www.31stpub.com/home.html
And here is a link to Gooski's facebook page, which I was surprised to find because they never even started a website before facebook became all the rage...
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Gooskis/114747091913246
I hope this helps. If you want to mention my name, that's cool, but I'm not exactly a big player on the scene.
