    • Los Exolosivos is a very fitting name for their sound. I have active the last year but completely out the nine years before. The number of bands from Mexico and S.A. have really grown, I checked out the Brasillian fuzz bananas comp. and was dissapointed. What little You tube threads I've followed seemed to turn up lots of names. >Sectmaniac said:

There are TONS of great Latin American garage groups! From the 60s to the present... Peru has some amazing groups: Los Saicos, Los Shain's , Los Yorks, Los Belkings, Los Mangazoides. Los Yeti, Los Flippers from Colombia. Los Speakers, Los Gatos Salvajes, Los Mockers... From Mexico: Los Loco Del Ritmo (more 50s, but still great rockers), Los Teen Tops, Las Moskas, Los Yaki, and more recent bands like Las Bruscas, Los Nassis, Los Pisopaticos, Mustang 66, Los Explosivos.

Dug Dug's from Mexico. Topshelf psych, espeially 1st selftitled LP.
Apparently the first Mexican band to write in English.

That sounds awesome. I gotta check that out. My band does a few songs in Spanish, since we are in LA & our singer is Mexican. We do a cover of Blue Girl we call "Ya Me Voy"

    • Back to Peru compilations are very good, full of interesting unknows (at least to me). Are you already familiar with Os Mutantes and Traffic Sound? The two best ones, I think.

    • I've posted a few videos recently, also check my jukebox for the Los Macs "The Wanderer" done with their fun factor, and if you want wacky funky monkey in some Hot pants try Xingu. The Hypnotic Eye is off a very rare VA album from India, check back as I need to convert my flac files before adding more but I've got hours worth if needed.

    • There are enough S.A. garage bands to make your pursuit worthwhile. If your not style or year specific in your likes you'll find their spin on things will keep you on the prowl. I second Bob's Los Vidrios Quebrados pick 100%. It's held up for just over 20yrs on my no-trade no-sale list. All original's, creative musicians that open up at that special time (for me anyway) 1967. I have vinyl but I'm pretty sure most of the bands have cd's out. Bob Blackstone said:

I always enjoyed Los Mockers singles and 1st album too. "My Baby" is my favorite track...I think it was their first single. Another worthy group is Los Vidrios Quebrados. Their Fictions LP from 1967 is pretty solid all the way thru.

    • Los Mockers! They're from Uruguay and they're awesome. Their best songs are "What A Life" and "Make Up Your Mind". I learned about them by watching a movie called 25 Watts, which is awesome as well. It's about a bunch of dudes being bored and playing Los Mockers records. Yeah, I know, great plot!

    • I was recently doing research and I came across a colombian 60's garage band called Los Flippers, and they are really, really good. They do a spanish version Do Wa Diddy that is so good. So, any other good latin american garage groups should know about?

First night, Thursday, March 25th is a garage punk event in Chiba at K's Dream with Surge, Howling Guitar and Ed Woods from Tokyo! We move down to Yokohama on Friday for a boys nite at Macky Ramone's Buzz Attitude featuring the infamous Jet Boys and the fashionable Vivian Boys! On Saturday, we gear up for and all-nite event at Shinjuku Jam, Teenage Shutdown presented by The Fadeaways with Theee Bat, The Pappy's and more! On Sunday, Swamp Fiction and Ed Woods team up for Swamp Trash Nite to celebrate the release of the Atomic Suplex/Theee Bat 7" split EP, tons of wild bands like Rocket Jack Vaders and The Fly, burlesque by Miss Tarantula and sleazy trashy music by DJ Mr. Death!

    • Djapango Shoots First strikes again with his second DVD release in the SEX and FURY and ROCK 'N' ROLL video series. This one captures the savagery of the JET BOYS, the sugar-coated 60's pop of THE PEBBLES well as the black leather neo-biker punks HELL RACER featuring Eddie Legend (formerly of the 5678's and MAD3). Representing the new blood of Tokyo's Back from the Grave scene are THE FADEAWAYS, BAIT ONES, THEEE BAT and THE FLY & MISS TARANTULA! It's a carnival of fuzz, flesh and fury!

Also, take a gander at this WOW-inducing cover art by Onoching!

It's a detailed deprecation taken from the original pinky violence film, Sex and Fury!

And don't forget to take a look at the first SEX and FURY and ROCK 'N' ROLL!
