I'm getting this problem as well.

I logon via the landing page and then get taken to my member page, still logged in, but when I go to the forums page I get a message telling me I need to login, which I do and then everything is fine.

 

I'm using Firefox 22.0, cookie enabled etc. I get the same login issue with the addons disabled.

Make sure you guys are always checking the "Remember Me" box when you sign in, too. That might help.

PS I use Chrome for iPhone. Not sure if it's a coincidence about the Chrome thing.

Yeah, click where it says "Last post by So-and-So" and that will take you to the most recent post.

I'm really not digging how the posts in the forums start with page one, post one. Any way to get them to automatically land on the newest post and page? It's really confusing. Sorry about my grumbling in advance.

Aha! So means in common!! Much easyer than i thought! Actually i never heard the word mutual before..
I though it meant in this case in reciprocal aggreement, or similar..

Mutual friends means the friends that you and the profile you are viewing both share. So if I look at your profile, the "Mutual Friends" section means those are people that are both your friend, and my friend.

And anyway, most of the people who asked me for friendship, i wanted to ask them for friendship as well... were we supposed to ask simultaneously, means at the very same moment or what? was just a question of "timing"? I mean, how do you become "mutual friens" with sb?

Hey, I think I got it figured it out... never worked with these codes before but I'm learning ;) Concerning the music player, I keep getting that same messsge that the Reverend got. I downloaded six songs no problem, but it didn't work after that. 

I'm trying to add some background color to my profile, I'm not able to save the changes I've made to the 'body' anywhere, even though it says they've been changed. Can you help me out please? Need more color on my profile, thanks.

I still get the error mentioned above and an additional one (I do exactly the same, it's just another error):

 

Upload failed: Error caused a send or load operation to fail (Error #2038)

I managed to upload some songs in the morning, but now.. tried since 18:30 again and again but always get one of the two errors.

I will try to upload something from a different computer this evening and report here.

We are aware of some issues relating to the searching of forum posts that we are trying to fix. First of all, apparently the search function doesn't work on any topics or posts that were migrated to the site from the old Ning site. Secondly, the default search is for "Forum Topics" instead of "Forum Posts," so, unless the word you are searching for actually appears in a Topic Title that was posted post-import, then it won't find anything. When you get to the 2nd search screen, you can then select "Forum Posts" from the drop-down menu, but again, those searches will only give you results of post-import discussions.

 

That, and the fact that you have to select and delete "Search Forum" from the search bar really drives me crazy. We'll try to fix that, too.

 

Let us know if you notice any other bugs or issues in regards to searching the Forum (or the site in general). Thanks!

I had a player in the shared music section and I tried to upload a photo for it and then it was gone, except for on my profile page. Thanks for all the details guys. I'll look into what the differences between sharing through the Music section and sharing from the activity feed are and how it displays throughout the site.

UPDATE - similar to the audio gas reply, I found some tracks in an off handed way, I clicked play on one of my "share" windows and then the plus sign to "add to my playlist".  I was then able to see the lost tracks and new ones, and right now my music tab is back - I wil let you know if this lasts.

This is how I found my "lost" tracks: In your status stream, find the shared track and click "share" underneath of it. In the pop-up window, click on "profile playlist". You can then click "share" yet again to share the whole playlist on your status page. That's as far as I got.

 

If that doesn't work, try uploading a new track, and then follow the above steps.

I have been using Chrome and I uploaed 4 tunes to the playlist player (and then had a music tab) on 8-9-13 I think. Not only did the songs disapear but I cannot find the place to load songs into a playlist now and there is no music tab now.   When I tried to upload songs to "share" I got a simple, "song not uploaded, please click cancel and try again" message.  

 

One update - I just uploaded and shared a single song, apparently successfully, via the share interface but I do not see it in the whole site "Music" area where other shared tunes are. To be clear,this is also not the several songs "playlist" that I saw back on 8-8-13.

Jane, as for me i added the songs the first day i believe, means 8.8. At first it looks like working, the upload seemed to be successful but at ones the were gone. No error report, just disappeared. Also the Music-Tab.

Same thing here. Just uploaded 8 tracks, built profile playlist, but only the first "shared" track is viewable and no player or tab that I can see/find. 

 

EDIT: Ok, playlist is there, able to share it as "Status", but not in sidebar or as a tab. hmmm..

For some reason I'm not locatin any playlists you guys created anywhere. Do you know what day you added them here on the new site?

 

Also, can you please give me some more information about the upload failing? Such as your browser and any specific error codes?

Same trouble here:
few days ago i´ve been able to upload 3 songs, had a "music"tab and even the "Playlist-player" showing the songs shortly appeared but than everything was gone. Out of the three songs, only the one that i "shared" is still visible in my comment-wall, but only there..
Now i got no Tab, no Player, no Musicfiles and trying to upload music anew failed.

1st of all I love the new site - very cool and promising!

 

I cannot seem to upload a single track to "share", I always get a "did not upload, hit cancel and try again" error.  And the other night I uploaed 4 songs to a "player" of some sort that also gave me a "music" tab, now that tab and the music files are gone. I also cannot find this playlist player again (maybe I dreamt it).

 

Also - can we embed a player right under our profile block(I saw a player Kopper has on his page for example).

 

Any ideas?  I appologize if this is simple user error.
