Hey I've been sending out cd's to campus radio for a few months now, for podcasters here's the link to the album all zipped up: http://www.mediafire.com/?y835cpsinfz31

For broadcast radio it would be a lot better to be able to send them straight to good shows than just to the music director...If you know some good local campus radio that would actually play garage/punk music let's get a list going. This could be a big help to all the bands on garage punk hideout to get their stuff heard.

I would start the list off myself but i've been living in South America too long. Back in January!

      regards.

I host a radio show at the University of Hartford in West Hartford Connecticut called Green Slime on WSAM 105.3 FM. I'd love to spin some sent in stuff if you want.

I'm also starting to podcast on garage punk pirate radio from my dorm with a bunch of awesome people. I think I could definitely play a lot of stuff people send me on that:

      The first Green Slime podcast.

If you want to send me anything send it to me on the Green Slime Facebook at www.facebook.com/greenslimeradio

or email it to me at principi@hartford.edu

I do a weekly show called Radio What Wave outta London Ontario Canada at Western University, CHRW ....lots of garage, protopunk, powerpop, obscuro, etc... The weekly play list is posted in this group and here's a link to the podcast which is updated weekly:

      http://chrwradio.com/podcasts/94-9CHRWThu1900.mp3

Here's the addy if you want to send stuff to our Music Director, Ashley:

      94.9 CHRW
      Room 250, UCC
      University of Western Ontario
      London, Ontario, Canada
      N6A 3K7

CHRW prefers CD as they don't have any way to file the new vinyl. Some DJ's (self included) do play lots of vinyl.

Wow, 25 years at the same station... That's great! Congratulations. I first went on the air 28 years ago this week, but I was off and on for many of those years until landing my weekly gig at KDHX in 1995, which lasted almost 11 years. I haven't been on the airwaves since '06.

Well last Thurs. I just had my 25 year celebration on WMBR, the MIT station where our punk rock show the Late Riser's Club has been in existence for 35 years in May.

      88.1FM, http://wmbr.org.

Lots of rock shows, send it to music directors Jesse K/Chris V.  We def. prefer real vinyl and CD's still.

If you're interested, the archive for my 8-10AM and 10AM-noon shows is up but the 2nd half needs to be restored cuz the archive decided to screw me on the day when I'm playing my favorite favorites, sigh.

      Playlist here: http://laterisersclub.org

WHRB at Harvard and WZBC at Boston College are possibilities too.

Lots of these kinds of shows have discussion topics posted right here in this very group forum, Cap'n.

Also, while it might seem like a good idea to try and mail your stuff out to individual shows/programs, sometimes a station may have multiple shows/programs that would give your stuff airplay, so sending two or three promos to the station may kill two or three birds with one stone, rather than trying to send this stuff out individually to each show host. Make sense?

In St. Louis, you should send your stuff to KDHX and KWUR.

      KDHX FM 88.1
      3504 Magnolia Ave
      St. Louis, MO 63118

      KWUR 90.3 FM
      Campus Box 1205
      One Brookings Dr.
      St. Louis, MO 63130

I have to list the station I'm at, WMBR in Cambridge/Boston, MIT radio (http://wmbr.org, 88.1FM). I do Thurs. of the Late Riser's Club (http://www.laterisersclub.org) plus there's Aural Fixation, Gorilla Got Me and a few others.

WHRB the Harvard Station (Record Hospital is the show) and WZBC the BC station play some garage.
