Since you're on the Hideout, you might have already seen it, but Wild Zero is a classic.
Dunno if ya like Motorhead, but there's a cool biopic, Lemmy, the movie. As he says, he is:
Asia Argento is kick ass in this horror classic directed by daddy Dario Argento.......I had the immense pleasure of meeting Asia and daddy in their "Bottega degli Orrori" horror shoppe in via dei Gracchi in Rome (near where my GF lives:):):)!!!!)...anyone who is interested in horror movies should visit that that shoppe...at least once in their lives:):):)
anyone seen Blake Snake Moan
anything by Abel Ferrarra from Driller Killer to Bad Lieutenant, havent seen the Werner Herzog remake with Nic Cage....
what do you seek? Intrigue, Trash, Classic, Weird?
David Lynch is usually a sure thing just forget Mullholland Drive...
I discovered recently that one of my favorite anime series (next to Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo) is streaming legally on YouTube. FLCL is amazing from both a technical and storytelling standpoint...mainly because it's kinda weird.

You have the choice of dubbed or subtitled episodes!
I didn't notice if anyone mentioned the films of Seijun Suzuki. He's definitely worth checking out. I can recommend Branded to Kill, Tokyo Drifter, and Gate of Flesh.
I'd also check out Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt (it's streaming legally at Crunchyroll). It's very silly and dirty.
You could try "Kamikaze Girls"......Death Note has been made as both live action and anime versions...I like the live action better.....if you like gay-samurai-murder-buddy flicks, there is always "Gahato" (I may have spelt that wrong...it might have two "T"s)........anything by Akira Kurosawa (I like "Kagemusha"....but its a bit "epic").....
Hope you find something you like

Whoever recommended me Death Note,I am forever grateful. Though it wasn't anime, which I didn't mind.. I watched both 1 and 2.I loved it!
Makes me crave for more Japanese movies! :)
I watched "Golden Slumber" on TV last night. The scene remained me of "Midnight Express", so it wasn't my cup of tea, but it was good as film.

"Death Note" is from manga. And "One Piece" is popular these days.
