I am a huge Black Lips fan but their new album "Arabia Mountain" is probably my least favorite album since their debut self-titled album.  It does have a few good songs but as a whole the album lacks soul.  Every song was so generic and much more surfy then I had anticipated.  Apparently they ran all the songs through a human skull for reverb which while psychedelic as fuck doesn't sound as cool as i expected it to.  yes this album is better then alot of albums to come out in the last few years but it was a miss for me especially because the singles they have been putting out lately seemed so much heavier and more hectic. I expected every song on the album to be more like "The Best Napkin I Ever Had."

I really like their last album but this new one has actually been growing on me lately but let it bloom is probably my favorite although your right all their stuff is much too similar

I like the last 2 songs off this album but i dont liek any of these songs better then my least favorite songs on their previous albums
