UntitledSad to report the news here that a member of one of our Hideout bands has passed away. Ricky Kulwicki of The Buckingham Squares, who was also in the Sub Pop band The Fluid, passed away yesterday at the age of 49.

UntitledThis is such tragic, shocking news. I first heard of Ricky Kulwicki in high school; his younger sister went to school with us, and his band the Frantix was the only thing close to real punk rock that we felt we had in 1980's suburban wasteland of Aurora CO. He was so dreamy, so sweet, and such a rocker. And he was practically ONE OF OUR OWN, so I followed everything he did. I am who I am in part because of him. I had the good fortune to call him a friend. He was an amazing man, rocker, guitar player, father, and friend. R.I.P. Ricky, you made the world a better place.
