Untitledoh well The 99ers didn't make it on there. It was worth a shot :)
Really looking forward to hearing the other bands on here though. I already have the album by Wild Evel & The Trashbones, so I'm excited about the others.

UntitledOK, thanks for the help, guys. We finally got it worked out and everything's been finalized for this volume. I should have it all packaged up and ready to ship off to Fran for mastering tomorrow. Right now I'm shooting for an April 16 release date, although I may move that up if Fran gets it mastered quickly. I'll keep everyone posted. This is gonna be a trashy one, though!

He has been posting to his FB page, so hopefully he'll notice your message on there

UntitledI've been waiting almost a month now for "Wild Evel" to respond to my email. His is the last track to require approval before I can ship this thing off to get mastered, and it's been delayed because of that. I've tried reaching out to this guy not only via email but also here on the Hideout and on FB, and he hasn't responded. If any of you know him, you might wanna mention it to him that he has 24 hours to respond to that email I sent him, or I'll put another band on the comp in his place. Thanks!

UntitledJust a quick message to say I also think these comps are are an amazing asset to the Hideout.
It's allowed me to find loads of bands I would have otherwise missed out on hearing and as a podcaster that's a real plus. I hope the small effort I make to spread the WORD about Hideout bands whether on my show or on the various social networks helps give some bands a bit more exposure.
In addition I'm just about to start my first monthly clubnite WEIRDSVILLE on the 3rd March and I gotta say these comps have also helped me make a fair few new contacts with bands for possible future gigs too.
Thanks Kopper

UntitledI don't. It's not gonna happen. There's no way we could get publishing rights on covers or get the original artists to waive their mechanical royalties.

OK, it now looks like we'll have plenty of good tracks for not only Vol. 7, but Vol. 8 as well! You can still continue to submit songs for Volumes 8 and, hopefully, 9. I'm also now taking suggestions for name and cover art for Vol. 8. See the GRGPNK Records group "Cover Art" topic for details.

UntitledNow that all is good to hear! Goes to speak for the spirit of a good comp, that people catch up on rad bands and things get rolling.
It's great that you got together again for that. Shame I can't see you guys there, I've really enjoyed the BEAT KILLERS ... and KKBB, but that goes without say.

I just wanted to take a minute to thank Kopper for doing this. People ARE listening. Kopper included tracks by 2 of my bands on these comps. One band was broken up, the other was just starting. The defunct band (The Beat Killers) got an offer to HEADLINE @ The Cosmic Trip Festival in France, shortly after the comp came out. So we got back together & we are going to France in May.The song that was used on the comp is also being used as an intro song by an FM radio station in Portland OR.
The Other band, (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) just signed a deal with Bad Reputation records of France, and our track, which appeared here first on a hideout comp..."Love Me Kill Me" has been picked to be the Coolest song In The world on Little Steven's Underground Garage for the week of March 4th. Kudo's to Kopper for the much needed support & exposure. It's helping to spread the word & get things rolling.

Hi Kopper,
Is there still time to submit a song for possible inclussion for either the forthcoming comp or a later one?
