First off, Hello. I'm new to the site & second off I was just wondering if anybody out there knows if there is any live Sonics footage from the 60's. I've found lots of reunion stuff on youtube, but I really want to see them in their prime.

The Remains doc? Would be great to see regardless. Stlii waiting for the forthcoming Los Saicos movie though... Gringo Starr said:
Most garage bands from the sixties could just barely make a record let alone film a live performance. There are some exceptions (Zachary Thaks for instance). Has anyone seen the new Remains Documentary? I heard it is mostly interviews and really no live footage because it doesn't exist - besides a couple of T.V. appearances and a very bad quality film fragment of them on the Beatles tour.

Unless the band had a top 30 hit and was on one of the major network shows (shews?), you're right, there really isn't a whole lot out there. I'm really surprised at what DOES eventually come up.

The one known appearence of the Sonics on TV was on Cleveland's UPBEAT show but that footage wasn't saved.

I've never seen any and I'd be very surprised if any existed at all. Photos from that time period are rare enough as it is. Filming bands back then (esp. live) rarely ever happened unless they happened to be on a TV variety/dance show and someone saved the footage.
