The truth is that a friend of mine showed them to me a day before i posted the video.I thought they were pretty good and there were only girls, nice guitar solo, vocals and stuff. But i had only heard this song.It was cool and it still is,but after listening to the rest of the songs i have to say i was a bit dissapointed. And i wll have to agree with you now. Again, agreed. Too "hard rock" for my tastes... reminds me of Pat Benatar or Heart. Gimme the early Pandoras any day over this. Rockin Rod Strychnine said:

i ve actually been wondering if I will ever find an all-female black flag equivalent. i think that would be pretty sick.
if anyone knows of one, or somethin comparable, let me know

I like Keith, but I think all of them were good in their own way. I'll never get enough of the nervous breakdown ep though.

A friend of mine had Damaged on a lable called Roadracer and it tacked on Louie Louie on the end but I thought a different singer was on that.
I don't have that import version of Damaged, but I'd assume that'd be the version from the Louie Louie 7" that Dez Cadena sang on. He was my fave Flag singer, perhaps as he was the first one I had seen them with. Others have told me they prefer Keith Morris and Ron Reyes over Dez. Rollins was not a bad fit with the band the first year or so. I saw their first LA area gig with him after they came back from the tour in which they picked him up. I speculate that he had a desire to prove himself to the home town crowd. But once he became established in Flag it seemed to become the Henry Rollins Show as opposed to a Black Flag show. They kind of evolved into a "jam" band of sorts from that point to the end and lost that manic energy that had attracted such a rabid following. So I would say everything up to and including Damaged as well as the "Everything Went Black" double LP of demos is what I'd consider essential Black Flag material.

I agree with Rod. Rollins really ruined that band. Early stuff is great, though! Timeless.

I enjoyed Damaged and The First Four Years but kind of lost interest in their later stuff.

It seems almost unlikely that anyone will ever form an all female hardcore band unless a new all male or mixed group that is an equivelant becomes really popular enough to be an inspiration.

I love Black Flag, i saw the Ginn/Reyes outfit a few months back and it was much better than expected. However if you like Black Flag dont miss the Keith Morris/Steve Macdonald project OFF!!, they are probably currently the best live band in the world and sound like very early Black Flag
