Looking for suggestion on the best (free) applications or software to use in posting music on a blog. What do you all suggest I use to upload music from my computer and post to a blog for streaming or quicktime audio?

Also, is there anything out there that will let me make a playlist from songs on my computer that I can post on a blog?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Yes, you can upload audio (mp3s) to Blip.tv! That's where ALL of our podcasts are stored (well, some are on Mevio, but MOST are on Blip.tv). When you go to upload a file (web upload), just select your file then add it as the Master. Then after you publish it, you'll get an "external link" to the page where it will show up with a player, and on that page there'll be a direct link to the MP3 under Files and Links (lower right-hand side).

If all of this other stuff fails, I use divshare which is easy and free up to a certain numbers of gigabytes. You can upload songs and make playlists.

I use blip.tv for uploading. If file is uploaded you can copy the link of the file.
Second step is paste the link to blogcastone.net
Then you get the html code. Copy/Paste html code to your blog.
I use it for my myspace and it works great.

      I hope it's helpful !

Let me know if you find anything LeftArm, I'll do the same! Left Arm said:
I don't see a music playlist option on any of those. At least the type where you can upload your own music.

Trying to get one going for the Left Arm blog.

I checked out blip.tv but only saw their video players. Do they have audio players as well? Could I get a link if you've got one? kopper said:

      Blip.tv

      No bandwidth or space limitations.

Also, I believe Last.fm will do that playlist thing for ya.

i use both mediafire.com and the box.net. on media fire you can store a lot info free...

the box.net has space limitations, but works great too.
