Yo I got the Vivian Girls record, is anyone else into it? Reminds of the Bangles but that would be a disservice to 'um. Great echo/reverb guitar, primal stomp drums and plodding bass lines. And they shriek like harpies. I'm looking forward to the next record. k. :) www.myspace.com/viviangirlsnyc

Actually i saw them live in London, and i didn't get it all! Literally the room was rammed fulla' bodies and i could barely swig m'pint. Still puzzled i got the record anyway, and it grew on me.

I'VE HAD A COUPLE OF THIER SONGS ON MY PAGE PLAYLIST FOR A WHILE. THEY CAN SOUND REALLY PUNK IN SOME SONGS OR VERY POLISHED AS IN "WHERE DO YOU RUN"

Back in November, I checked them out on MySpace and I was pretty excited. Later that month, they played the Bowery Ballroom, sandwiched between the A-Bones and King Khan & BBQ. I was mighty disappointed: Very same-y sounding the entire time.

Don't have their record/CD but they did a killer show in Austin, TX, last year during the Chaos in Tejas Fest (at Red 7, May, 2008).

Gosh, haven't they been though a lot of drummers in such a short time. Not a very busy night down STATTO.

I changed the video's privacy setting. Hopefully it will work now.
I do believe I've been to the post-club thingy too. Best sushi I've ever had.

Video Unavailable. Boo. STATTO is great, I love the atmosphere. Here is a short video of my band at STATTO last year.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7MeFRUj6Yw&feature=channel_page Not really a song though, just the end of the set. Every time I have played at STATTO (or just been to see a band) almost everyone in the club goes to the izakaya by the station afterwards until 4am when the trains start running again.

I love them, they only have one EP so far, you should track it down. I've filmed them quite a bit, I should post up some other videos some time.

Nao Nao (drums) is standing in as Atomic Suplexes Bass player this April when we play in Tokyo.

Any band in which hair combing on stage is actively pursued, is A OK in my book

Hey, thanks for putting me on to them! Wondrously so, I was just thinking of them and here they are.

Atomic, man those Vivian Boys are the fun! They got like ten pluses with me doing "the witch" - it's a great video. Thanks for that!
