On Saturday 1 March 2008 the Mousetrap club night celebrates an incredible 17 years in the business delivering quality music to Londoners and beyond at the same venue.
How often does that happen?
Rare American Garage bands, British and European Beat groups & Psychedelic sounds spun on original 45's to a backdrop of eye candy viuals in dark vibey basement club with a kicking sound system and a cool but friendly atmosphere and you got the picture!’ Resident DJ Dr Robert of ‘Le Beat Bespoke’ compilation and event started the club way back in March 1991 and explains more.
‘There will be a few classics from early Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Beatles, Soft Machine, Kinks, Small Faces and Stones alongside the Sonics, Doors, Seeds, Love, the Remains and the Litter from the USA as well as the more obscure cult 45’s the club is more famous for. In fact the amount of amazing music that has come from the Mousetrap over the years has been truly inspirational, many of these records would never have been given the time of day when they were first released but have found another lease of life from the DJ’s and dancers’.
A free limited edition 45 including two monster Mousetrap club spins available on the night only.
Special guests DJ’s include Spider Webb from London’s scariest band the Horrors, Carlo Sesto & Carolina from Italy and Walshie from Bristol’s Frat cave club complete the bill.
