Old Chub is hoppy as hell and you don't like IPAs? PJ CWS said:

I like Old Chub & Yazoo ESB. If I can't get anything "good" I take a Newcastle, Labatt Blue, or (call me generic) PBR.

It's called beer by the trade But the 16% I like gets run through my 2"column Vapor Management Still, The only real beer connection is the beer keg I use for the still pot. Anyone have a dinged up copper Tympani cheap, my next neat on the cheap

Stone! If I was up north I'd say PBR, in England Newie, or Colorado Flying Dog. Reaper Ale is local, got some good stuff.

If someone else is buying, then a New Glarus of some sort or maybe a Skullsplitter or one of those strong Viking-themed beers (can't think of the brewery). If it's payday, then probably a Riverwest Stein from Lakefront. Normally, however, it's PBR and Hamm's. When I'm back in western New York, it's Labatt's and Molson for days. (As for WNY's choice skunky brewery, Genny, ... its varieties have been long-since abandoned by me after numerous resulting bad headaches and churned guts)

My favorites are all over the spectrum I like Spatten, Peroni, Kwok, Duvel, Hefeweizen, etc, but I also like Tecate, Rolling Rock, & Shiner.

I'm trying to cut down calories and lose some weight, so I've been drinking light beer lately. Most light beer is utter crap. However, the new Bud Light Wheat beer has some flavor. If you have to drink light beer, it's your best choice.

Guinness is my staple, but some of my recent favs are Bell’s Pale Ale and Leinenkugel Fireside Nut Brown Ale. I know Sam Adams is getting to be one of the bigger boys, but just about anything they come out with is tasty. Their recent Noble Pils is very good. Also, the local micro-brewery I frequent brews a coffee flavored stout called Black Jack, which is tremendous.

Hey Rockin Rod, I see you have Labatt Blue listed. I've been boycotting that beer ever since they started bottling it at 11.5 oz vs. 12 oz. That just crossed an ethical boundry with me.
I haven't bought it in a quite a few years so I didn't know that. Maybe 11.5 is the Canadian 12 oz Like our 100 degree weather is their 36. I was up in Vancouver one time to do a show but we got there in the afternoon and found out some bands were playing a show at some park. When hanging out, someone says it must be like 36 or 37 degrees and I say "are you nuts....it feels like 100". They all look at me funny and say if it was 100 degrees, we'd all be dead. I forgot where I was at kind of.

Hmmm....I like Coronas for Mexican beer, Labatte's Canadian beer, Foster's Austrailian and for homegrown beer, Raineer's. I also like Henry's, Budweiser, and when worst comes to worst, PBR (thank you, Untamed Youth, for spraying me with that crap (I do actually like it however)).
