I am! Any time you listen to a song or view a video someone's added, be sure and rate it (one to five stars). The higher-rated stuff will appear at the top of the music player and video section. You can even rate photos, too, if you're really bored.

Also, as with any site, occasionally someone will join and post something that's, um, not really appropriate. Let's all police this thing ourselves. If you see someone upload a hip hop song or something you don't think really fits in with what this website is all about, then let them (and me, too, I guess) know about it.

Thanks to all of you for helping to make this new site rockin' and rollin'. The early reports on the site's activity are great! Better than I expected. Be sure and invite your friends. And enemies!

If the song sucks, I give it one star. If it's just so-so, two. A good song, three stars. Now the songs that really make me go "wow, that's a great song!" get four stars. I only award five stars to those that I see as (or that could possibly be) all-time favorites; ones that I would never tire of listening to.

So it would that apart from a few blips, all of us know-it-alls are posting only 5-star toonage.

I was trying to only upload Australian music to educate all you foreigners on the site, but there is way to much other cool non Australian music for me to limit myself.

True dat, homey. And I won't be able to get any sleep tonight until you fellers get your butts over to our page and rate our songs. Thankyaverymuch.

But it's the principle of the matter. A fellow can't get a decent nights sleep so long as he knows that there are fuck-tards out there posting their damned arena rock and gangster rap all over our turf.

Buttin' in here: In my trashy opinion, all the genres from the 50's and 60's ya listed above "fit" in with the vibe of the Hideout...I don't havta tell ya that most if not all of us here are inspired by and dig frantic R&B, dirty blues, early r'n'r, surf, soul, early sleazy lounge, etc...

So longwinded conclusion: Keep on keepin' it trashy....and bring me the head of any one postin' Led Zep here!

I don't think there's any way that can be done, but I'll try to keep a closer eye on the videos that are uploaded and try to keep that from happening. Shoot me a message and let me know which duplicates you saw and I'll get it taken care of.

I have it set to display the highest rated tracks, so yeah, it probably dropped off cuz more tracks are getting rated higher, which is the original point of this topic.

But, like I said in the original post here, if you see (or hear) something here you don't think fits, police it yourself and tell 'em that stuff doesn't belong. I couldn't agree more!

I think the site is pretty cool. As time goes by we should get more cool vids and songs up. There seems to be a bit of repetition in some of the videos uploaded. Is there any way someone uploading can be automatically told if the video/song is already there?

Last Friday. Perhaps someone came to their senses and took that dreck off. I don't come here to listen to bad arena rock. Do songs fall off the jukebox after a week?

But it's weird... When I look at the player, I'm only seeing 20 songs. None of 'em are Led Zeppelin. Where did you go to see that?
