UntitledWe introduced student loans in the late 90's. Now all our young Dr's, engineers, dentist's, teachers etc move overseas to get jobs and to either hide from repayments or to try to afford the repayments. It's costing our country billions now, it got so bad they had to stop interest been added to the loans so people would pay them off. I'd happily pay higher tax for someone’s kids to be able to go to school or get quality healthcare.
Oh, and the other great thing our government is doing now; building prisons and cutting welfare, best way to deal with poor people is to make them criminals...

It's so fucked. The whole college system in the states is ruined. I have friends getting seriously ripped off as adjunct professors. Intelligent hard working people with advanced degrees and mountains of debt that can't get benefits or a full time wage, for universities that make millions off sports and inflated tuition.
