      Woke up this morning (hey! I can turn this into a blues song ...) and a pal had sent me an email asking "Are you a fan of this guy?"

      I'd never heard of Benjamin Booker, but the press release said he was "a young New Orleans based singer-songwriter, influenced by The Gun Club, Blind Willie Johnson, and T. Rex. "

      So I had to check. And after watching a couple of videos, I was a slobbering fan. Bought his album and everything.
