I'd love to have some suggestions about Hamburg. I am going in a few days and love to know about cool place to go like venues, gigs, record shops, music instrumento shops etc....

I know crypt records but I would love to have more places to go

Any suggestion???

It is my hometown and I could show you a few good shops and clubs

Dam Hamburg is awesome, go to Schanzenviertal, there's 2 punk music stores at least there, a store that sells punk tshirts and a bunch of places selling other cool crap. There's an R&B, soul, hip hop store there. I can't remember all the names because I'm rubbish and I couldn't find Crypt. I think the place I went to was called Burnout Records http://www.burnoutrecords.de/

Seriousely wonder around that place, go to the cafes and drink Fritz Cola. Go Saturday to Schanzenviertal for an awesome fleamarket. They sell ghetto blasters and bubble TVs there, as well as yet more records.

I have been to Hamburg with no suggestions :( 

For future reference I found Hamburg very vibrant city. Best place to go, as far as I understood from my trip, is Saint Pauli. Avoid red light district and walk opposite direction of the Harbour. You will find a lot of squad, record shops, gigs, bla bla bla.

In the area, in Budapest street I found a very good Vintage instrument shop, the burnout records (plenty of voodoo rythm, crypt records...)

Then Crypt record shop is great as well...

Hamburg people... sorry if I am not precise here :)
