My fella and I are planning to attend this festival this year. Neither of us had heard of it until i stumbled across it while looking for upcoming shows by Rachel Brooke (who is pretty awesome, by the way, if you haven't heard of her. She did an album with Lonesome Wyatt of Those Poor Bastards that I dig. She also recently recorded a song with our friends' band Fifth on the Floor for their second album.)

I also hadn't heard of several of the bands on the line up, so after lots of youtube searching, I was about ten times more excited about our tickets than I was to begin with. I thought it would be a good link to pass along to fellow fans of the genre(s).

T Model Ford is on the line up, but I don't think he's going to be performing because of complications from a stroke. So sad. He was the number one act I wanted to see the most. I'm way into blues, in general.

Wish I could make that. I just saw The Calamity Cubes in Austin. The Dirt Daubers and Legendary Shack Shakers are coming here to Santa Fe next month. (All those are on my new Big Enchilada  podcast) Wayne the Train and Dale Watson both are full-blooded honky tonkers. And I love Rachel Brooke too!

(IS T-Model Ford supposed to be there? I saw him about 15 years ago at a private BBQ -- he played til the cops made him stop!) He's bound to be pushing 85 now)
