    • Ok, I'll admit it, I never got it with The Cure. Is it too poppy? Too faux Goth? They always seemed like they were TRYING to be clever instead of actually being so.

If I've missed something, do tell. Is there any way to get "Love Cats" lalalalala out of my head long enough to hear the good stuff?

    • Very hit or miss. Of course, their early stuff like THREE IMAGINARY BOYS and PORNOGRAPHY was right on target. A vastly underrated band to be sure.

    • Who likes listening to the Cure?

On YouTube there are numerous integral live-concerts to be enjoyed.

Their typical sound both gloomy and dreamed with a nice beat and mysterious lyrics.

They are around for 30+ years...

    • I heard this and it sounded electronic, which makes it all the more wierd.

    • Radio What Wave Playlist for Oct 23rd 2012.

This was a special fill-in for the History Of Us (CHRW retrospective show) in which we dedicated the show to the Graphics Underground London 1977-1990 show that is happening this weekend. On friday Oct 26th, we have the art opening at Forest City Gallery. On saturday, Oct 27 we have the opening party with;Uranus, NFG, The Zellots and The Enemas re-forming for one night only at Call The Office. And this weekend will be the unveiling of What Wave 24, an all London Ontario edition which comes with a 90m cassette of all local bands from 1978 to 1992.

    • And , while it'salso not Garage , Elvis' only other known Dylan cover (He may have recorded others ,  for shits and giggles) , "Don't Think Twice , It's All Right" really "Brings it all Back Home" , if you will.

Mick Farren - It's All Right , Ma (I'm Only Bleeding).

Yardbirds - Most Likely You'll Go Your Way.

Soup Greens - Like a Rolling Stone.

      Huns - Subterranean Homesick Blues.

Deadmoon - The Times They Are A - Changin' .

      Nervebreakers , Antiseen - Positively 5TH STREET.

Johnny Thunders - Joey , Joey.

Roky Erickson - Baby , Let Me Follow You Down , Blowing In The Wind .

Them - It's All Over Now , Baby Blue.

Sir Douglas Quintet - Talking Tom Thumb Blues.

I realize I'm waving that artistic license around someting awful , but , in the event anyone wants to look any of these up.....

On the Road Again - Novas, does the Race Marbles' Like a Dribbling Fram count? I hate the Dead but they did a few cool singles before shitting out a bunch of lame albums and It's All Over Now Baby Blue was one of 'em. It ain't garage but Elvis's version of Tomorrow Is a Long Time, tacked onto the Spinout soundtrack, is a beauty.

    • We've Got a Fuzzbox and We're Gonna Use It is the full name of the all-female indie pop quartet often known as Fuzzbox. Crossing noisy, enthusiastically amateurish punk à la the Slits with the bright pop harmonies of new wavers like the Bangles and the Go-Go's, Fuzzbox was one of the bands included on NME's now-legendary C-86 cassette sampler in 1986, and became pop stars in the U.K. for a short time in the late '80s.

The group featured guitarist/vocalist Maggie Dunne, her sister Jo Dunne on bass, vocalist Vickie Perks, and drummer Tina O'Neill, who got together in their hometown of Birmingham, England, in 1985; all were 16 except for 20-year-old Maggie, and none had ever played instruments before. Their eccentric fashion sense, which harked back to the theatricality of the early days of punk, helped gain them notice, and their C-86 appearance raised their profile considerably on the U.K. indie scene. The group's early-1986 debut single, "XX Sex," recorded for Vindaloo, was a hit on the alternative charts, as were a couple of follow-up EPs. The band signed with Geffen (in the U.S. only) and issued a self-titled debut album later that year; it was retitled Bostin' Steve Austin in the U.K. and released on Vindaloo. Toning down their image slightly, Fuzzbox signed with WEA in the U.K., and brought in Bangles producer Liam Sternberg to work on their second album. Released in 1989, Big Bang! entered the U.K. pop charts at number five, and Fuzzbox became media darlings thanks to their still-flamboyant look and irreverent sense of humor. They also landed Top 30 hits with the singles "International Rescue," "Pink Sunshine," and "Self!" In the summer of 1990, Perks announced that she was leaving for a solo career and Fuzzbox disbanded. A brief reunion occurred in 1998, but recording sessions were aborted; Perks later resurfaced under the name Vix Fuzzbox. The outtakes/demos/rarities compilations Fuzz and Nonsense and Rules and Regulations to Pink Sunshine appeared in 2000 and 2001, respectively. In late 2001, Maggie Dunne became the new bassist of Babes in Toyland.
