Anyone out there own a guitar from this company? The shapes are real garage inspired rockers. Airline (Jack White), Hi-Fyer (Kurt Cobain) and Mosrite guitars shapes like the ones played by The Ventures and Johnny Ramone. They start at $399.00 but don't go over $1000.00. They get great reviews but I would like to hear form one of you! They also have a cool website.

Standard Issue Magazine out of Ottawa puts out some rad stuff, recent issue had an interview with Mean Jeans, Indian Wars, a nice SXSW report and they use a rad review format, records are graded as NOT SHITTY, KINDA SHITTY and SHITTY. Bargain price too http://www.myspace.com/standardissuemag

Sounds good! My thought is that since this festival is indeed FREE, a bunch of folks most likely signed up not knowing if they were really going to make it or not. I'm curious to see how many people actually picked up the wristbands and show up. If we do need to stay in one place though, which one should it be?

I don't know, it wasn't well publicized around here. So, unless they allow people to buy bracelets at the will call table, or the bars decide to let people without bracelets in, it might not be that packed.

Haven't logged on it a bit, so pardon if this has already been discussed (didn't see a thread). Budget Rock 9 is going down at the end of October with Oblivians, Reigning Sound, Jack O, and Cococoma all headlining shows. (We're playing, too!)

I assume a lot of locals are attending, but is anyone planing on traveling out for this one? I'm pretty excited to see some bands and play at the Parkside again. It's been three years since I moved out of the Bay and played my last show there. Hope to see you out!
