    • He dressed a lot better in those pictures than when I met him in 1992 and later in 1998. He wasn't blonde then either. Happy Trails you Cosmic Cowboy! El Tiki said:

Truly will be missed. SKY Not wacko jacko.
This is what I received in and email today; SKY SUNLIGHT SAXON of the psychedelic garage rock legends THE SEEDS passed away this morning at 9:10am, June 25th, 2009 at St. David’s South Austin Hospital in Austin, Texas. Sky died of heart & kidney failure, due to an undiagnosed infection of his internal organs. ... Sad, but not unexpected. He was a weird dude. I crossed paths with him several times when he was living up here in the Pacific Northwest. I have posted my accounts elsewhere (but they may no longer be up) #3

    • I did a website for Sky and the Seeds a decade ago. I got to know him for a little while. A funny guy and sharper than people knew. Greg Shaw said Sky wasn't crazy, he was just shrewd. In any case The Seeds is still my favourite album.I play the mono vinyl all the time even today.

I was looking forward to seeing Sky on the garage band tour this summer.

      RIP

Too bad it's being kept out of the news (not that it would get more than maybe a mention anyway) by the death of the world's most famous child molester.

    • Sky Saxon paased away this morning in Austin, Texas.
He was admitted to St. David's Hospital on Monday.
The cause of his death is yet to be confirmed.

Here's to Sky, one of the true originators of the Garage Punk scene.

Thankfully I got to see him play a couple of weeks ago at Austin's "Fuzz Club"
He was backed by a local band "Shapes Have Fangs", The Seeds tunes sounded awesome.
I got him to sign a Seeds LP for us...I was stoked by that.

      RIP Sky Saxon

      punk is self expresion ,

Way to simple. Under that definition nearly everything is "punk" which it is clearly not.
