John Battles wow , so this is new ? I remember when you could'nt get arrested doing Instros , before Dick Dale made a comeback. Even then , it seemed the worst bands got the best gigs.

First two times I saw him , pre - "Pulp Fiction" , he had the hunger , he killed it. After that , there were moments . But , I made a pact with an Italian friend who'd never seen Dick Dale. I got us passes to his show , but , we agreed , we'd leave if it started getting corny. We left after about 20 minutes.

We love instrumental rock'n'roll and the notables mentioned by John are all definitely big influences. All of our music to date was composed by guitarist Rapido T Lusso who almost made the big time with his previous band, Aqua Vista, when he was championed here in the UK by the late, great and highly influential BBC radio DJ John Peel (search You Tube for Aqua Vista/John Peel). While influenced by early rock'n'roll, Rapido spent time in San Francisco where he witnessed many of the great garage punk bands. We hope you enjoy our music. There's a lot more to come including 2 new planned E.P's in addition to our current E.P 'Seat Slasher & Tales from the Greasy Spoon.' Feel free to visit our Facebook, Band Camp and You Tube sites. Thanks again chaps!  less

John Battles SOUNDS GOOD. I think Instros are coming back , if not on the level that they briefly did in The 90's. Another overlooked Guitar God is Travis Wammack. I've seen him a few times , he kills it. Wow, A John Peel connection.

The Presidents Men - You're Too Much

Here's a little something from Bournemouth's musical past. Talk about buried treasure! This is a cover of a song originally by The Eyes. Who were these mysterious young men? The frontman has been in several bands over the years - more great songs are to be found on the corresponding You Tube channel....

Hello from the south coast of England, UK. It's my first time listening to your podcast and i'm absolutely loving it! I was wondering if you might have the time to share with us your top tips for record buying. I'm the kinda guy who pays over the odds for a record i've never heard of based upon the sleeve or title alone only to stick it on the turntable and hear what sounds like nothing more than a dying reindeer in a blizzard. Honestly, I think I have a mental deficiency and urgently need somebody to state the obvious for me! Much love, yours faithfully... Gareth Brown
